I don't understand. You say the best way to download my games is through the Client, which I installed and logged into. But nothing shows in my Library, so how can I download anything. There should be plenty of games showing, that I have acquired from you. They show up fine in my browser.
If the client isn't ready yet, then why are you recommending it for downloading?
And why so many Captcha by the way, especially as a client should not need any?
I managed to solve the Library issue, by closing the client and then restarting it. Why it did not do something like that itself I don't know, which is a bit b-grade.
Anyway, that's not the worst thing.
Why is there no way to just download the game installer?
Instead we get a download that ends up taking up more than double the zip file space, with a folder full of chunks and another the actually installed game (apparently). That's not what I wanted. I wanted an installer file, that I could cancel before it actually installs.
How is it better to use the client for downloading? And why wasn't it made clear what occurs?
The client was also slow and memory hungry, especially after all the chunks were downloaded and it started turning them into files.
Just ridiculous. Where's a proper downloader? Now I have to try and get the 8.23 Gb zip file all over again, and it has already failed a few times, part way through, both with my browser and a downloader program. Why is there no resume support for the downloader program?
This whole exercise has been a complete waste of time ... a few hours. Especially as I have no intent of playing the game on this PC, my wife's.
Did the client install anything outside the game folder?
If not, then I suppose I could zip the whole folder up, but that's even more time and space, and I don't end up with a proper installer inside the zip file.
Just been a completely frustrating exercise. I doubt I will use the client again, especially as it does not even run on my downloading PC, which is why I had to use my wife's. My actual gaming PC I don't install junk onto, so it mostly remains offline, as I don't do multiplayer.
