People Really Need To Read Descriptions In Giveaways

Sadly I just received my first thumbs down for a giveaway that I clearly stated in the desciption was for another game. " ATTENTION!!! This is NOT Biodrome Battle. It's BIOLOGY BATTLE. Can't find steam page for it." The game I gave did not have a steam page. The key clearly worked for them as they commented with their thumbs down that the game was the game I gave in the description. Their quote "It's Biology Battle" So I received this downvote for a good working game and even though I covered the bases for the difference. How can unjust downvotes be removed? I see others doing what I did all the time because sometimes there is no steam page for a game for some reason or the giveaway system glitches for a game.

You aren't allowed to use a different game (with potentially different XP, cost, etc.) If the steam page goes away or if the game gets blocked by overzealous mods, then you can't make a giveaway for it. Most people that do what you did get their accounts banned.

So, find a game have the highest XP, and giveaway a free DLC type in the description? You think that it is acceptable?

Some games stop sell on steam store. Or just can't create by IG.
I don't like people use difference store page to send those games.

I can't use IG's steam check sysytem to see what game that I already have.
EX:there many send "East India Company Gold" but use the "East India Company" store page.
I already have East India Company Gold I want a East India Company. but many GA don't say anything. :/

And many DLC pretend the main game.

It was not dlc and I was just trying to give unused keys so they just don't sit there and go to waste which is why this platform was created. I had no idea this was not allowed as I have never seen this issue addressed and I see giveaways like this everyday. I never understood why until I had the issue arise myself. I have even entered some. It's not like I just wanted to put something different. If I could have manually put in the title so that it gave the one intended I would have done so. No harm and no foul was meant.

It dosen't if it a dlc or not you shouldn't give away here it a huge risk when do that, how ever the that person was some likely just being a jeck off any way he or she could make as good and long they didn't all ready own the game and if didn't cost more the 1 coin.

Read fake giveaways topic. If you can't use the key for a giveaway give it to someon you know or drop it on dedicated topic.

What do you expect? If you create a giveaway for GTA5 and put there a Woodle tree adventures key instead and tell in the description that it is, so people thumbs up? Lol

That is why I read descriptions and know for sure what I'm entering. That way if It's different I can then decide to click the ticket or not since we have to click the giveaway on the main page anyway to then go to the page to actually see if we have the game already and/or enter it. The games we already have used to be grayed out on the main giveaway pages but now we have to click the giveaway just to see. And the description is just a glance to the left of where we have to click that ticket to enter so it's a quick check. I have only had about two games that had missing steam pages but a whole list of games I have not been able to put in giveaways that do have steam pages and good unused keys but for some reason the giveaway system does not take both from Indiegala and other places. But some of those same games I have seen others be able to post in the giveaways that I could not. I do not know how but I also see that some of the games with missing steam pages get posted with the proper thumbnail on the giveaway, one example being Torch 2. That is why it seemed to me to be a system glitch. So I thought this must happen to others too and I then had a better understanding of why I kept seeing this in the giveaways. So that is why if I see a giveaway and then read it is for another game and I enter it anyway and win it and it works, I will give a thumbs up. I received another delightful game.by doing nothing more than clicking a ticket. It's the same courtesy people want when a key does not even work for a game and they put in the description to contact them before feedback so they can have a chance to make it right. That means poeople know beforehand that keys may not work sometimes. Now the large list of games I cannot put into the giveaways I will most likely forward to support at some point to see if there is a problem somewhere.

If I was cheating I would not be honest and up front like I'm being. I explained in my previous post how I thought there was some problem with the system and why I posted only two games that had missing steam pages. Now I'm posting here now concerning my giveaway for Giana Sisters:Twisted Bundle. I do not know why the title says Giana Sisters:Twisted Bundle but the thumbnail and the steam link goes to Iron Grip Warlord and I just noticed this. I placed in the giveaway the proper steam link to Giana Sisters:Twisted Bundle http://store.steampowered.com/sub/31710/ This is another reason why it seems there's a problem with the system. I did not put anything in the giveaway myself concerning Iron Grip Warlord. Now in this case anyone who enters please read the title of the game because it is NOT Iron Grip Warlord but Giana Sisters:Twisted Bundle that the giveaway is for.
P.S. the link to my giveaway should be this https://www.indiegala.com/giveaways/detail/313561

Contact support to delet the giveaway and then create a new one with the correct Steam ID.
If you can't create giveaways for some games there a reason, read forum.
Torch Cave 1&2 and other games for this dev have been removed from Steam recently this why you can't see their page. Some games in this case can be given away some not, just enter the former Steam page url and hope Ingala still allow them.

Using a valid steam link that Indiegala screws up is one thing, and obviously not your fault. However, intentionally using the wrong link and explaining in the giveaway description that you did it because the right link was banned is circumventing site rules. Indiegala mods banned the game for a reason, and you have to abide by that. Now, I happen to be on the side of the camp that thinks the mods go absolutely crazy banning games just because the keys were at one time available for free. But, I argue that with support, not by cheating.

it's simple: key X = steam link X

Otherwise I take a 200€ steam game and put a 0.20cents key just for farm exp. Giveaways presenting a different key have to be reported and the user blacklisted.

I can understand, its sometime hard to win titles, and not getting the game you actually put a ticket on could be annoying.
However if the person used free points then he/she could have been nicer. It's still a free game.

I did not know anything about games being banned or why a game had no steam page or any of it. I just knew that I had been seeing a lot of other giveaways that had one thing for the title but another in the description and I did not know why people were doing this. But then I ran into two games myself that I was trying to give that I could not find the steam pages to. Plus I had also been having errors in creating giveaways for games that DID have a steam page that I set aside to deal with later. Some I had to try several times and a few of them finally worked. So I thought the system was messing up for not only me but others as well and people were just using that method as a fix to be able to give their games. But not everyone seemed to be having issues with the games I was because I would see alot of the same games that would give me errors trying to put in giveaways that others could put in just normally. Now if all of these games are banned though, why would the system allow some to create the giveaways and some not? So that is why I did that with those two games. I was not trying to cheat or gain undue xp. I did not use any high dollar games but cheap ones. In fact I may have even gotten less xp than I would have.
