Punished because the giveaway winner is a idiot

Here's the thing: I am a steam level 147 with 2500+ games in the library, i always looked after other gamers giving away keys and helping them level up in the community. I have more than 1800 USD in traceable giveaways and hundreds of other more giveaways that people can vouch for me.
Because i have a large library, most of the keys i win, buy or receive that i want to give away i can test to see if it's already used (if it's used it will say "duplicated code" and if not it will say "you already own this product").
I have my own personal quality conduct to always give away a genuine unused key. I had a lot of giveaways i could have published but i didn't because the key was compromised in some way.

Ok, so comes this Dumbo (i won't shame and name this kid here) who probably doesn't know how to use the keyboard and gave me a "not received" mark. He didn't contact me to at least let me know about the situation and just gave the mark straight away. By browsing his steam profile i could see it was some kind of a secondary account to smurf, scam or whatever he uses it. Most of his games were free to play or common games that you win in the giveaways, anyway...
I'm saying he doesn't know how to use the keyboard because i tested the key again in my account and had a positive confirmation that the key was unused. So to make the final test, afterwards he already gave me the bad mark, i created a steam account to test the key and guess what? The key worked! So you idiot who knows who you are. Learn to use the goddamn keyboard.

I always had a spotless rep in giveaways. In the rare few times that someone had problem with the key, i offered support and even bought the said game to them. I do honor my giveaways.
But maybe now i'll just activate my spare keys in this account and to hell my giveaways. I am full of these idiot kids who doesn't even know how to use technology.

If you guys in the forum believe me or not, i don't care. I just want to vent off this shit.

Sorry about your problem and I'm aware that you validated the key on another account but are you sure about that particular trick? When I try used keys, it gives "already owned" message to me. I think Steam checks ownership before the validity of the key.

i guess 100% isnt possible since theres always a few idiots out there...

it would really be interesting if its a save way to test your own keys like that. im doing it the same way and up to now everything worked out perfectly... if somebody is mood to contact the steam support it would be really nice ;))

If you own the game, you will receive the "you already own this product" even if the key is a duplicate. Like ShenWolf says, the priority is ownership before validity. Therefore you can never know if the key you are giving away is legitimate or not. It's too bad that steam functions like this. The only way to know for sure is to add that key to an account that doesn't own the game. Needless to say, if the key is legit, you've lost the key and can no longer trade it ;)

.
It doesnt work that way. It will say that code is duplicated only if you dont have the game, so if the code works it will be activated to your acc. If you have the game, duplicated or not it will say that you already have the game.

Aint looks like 1800 usd from here, just sayingSG isn't the only place people give away games at . if you give away games here sgtools isn't going to have a record of that..

And lastly if you feel you recieved bad feedback in error you need to email support. Complaining on the forum will not accomplish anything. Sorry .

the winner didnt even try to contact me even though i aksed for it in the giveaway discription "if any problems should appear"... the winner is somebody with a blank profile here... i guess its not possible to keep 100% and we all have to live with that ;)

I know but he said *traceable giveaways* and my point that he is only giving games that cost like 28 games per dollar, and then valuing them full price to brag about 1800 usd trackable stuff. You know, i see that he has 60 keys sent here(that could be 60 gta V or 3 1$ per 28 games bundles), but indiegala has no functionality so i operated with that i have, and its easy to find his profile on sg.

The same thing happened to me. Had my feedback to 100% and an idiot activates the key and gives me negative feedback

That's too bad. Injustice. =/
I have a key here, but now I'm afraid that it's duplicated since I don't have a way to test.
