Question about creating giveaways

Hi

As i'm quite new, i'm not sure about some things, so i will ask here, maybe someone (preferably an indiegala employee?) can answer.

For now, i have only some games in my library which i got from free Indiegala giveaways.
As i don't really want some of them, i would like to give them away, but when i go to "Giveaways Library", then click on "Create New",
then click "Bundle", "Select" on the game i want to give away, and later down i click on "Calculate the value of this giveaway", then "Continue",
it always tells me "We are sorry but this game can no longer be put in a giveaway. Try again in a few " (yes, it's cut off here on "few").

Why is that? Is it because these games are free indiegala giveaways? On the other hand, from the 6 games i want to giveaway, there is 1
who works (i can click on "caculate value", and it's also from a free indiegala giveaway). So why do the others not work? (I'm trying since days, so the "try again in a few" must be a bug, exept they mean "weeks" or "months") :D

Or could i simply create a giveaway going to my "Bundles Library", click on "Click the Steam butto to redeem your key" to show the steam key and use the key to create a giveaway? (which i understand it would be "Non-guaranteed" then, right?)
I thought when i click to show the key it is automatically assigned to me, or can i give the Steam key i see to anyone i want and it works for him?

Thank you for answering these 2 questions.

Regards

As far as I know...

1) Games that are given away for free (or otherwise widely distributed in a cheap bundle?) are eventually blocked from letting others create a giveaway simply to prevent the IndieGala system from being too bogged down with games nobody wants right now. As you don't want them now either (see?) it's best to hold onto them for a while. Also, one game I was unable to create a giveaway for I was able to offer as a trade for someone who actually wanted it. Trading is often better than just giving it away.

2) When you click for a key, it does give you one that is NOT tied to you personally unless you redeem at Steam. You could just turn around and offer the game as a non-guaranteed game now. I've done it, actually, but only because sometimes IG loses keys to guaranteed games you put up for auction or offer for trade and then it's not taken. IG support have always gotten them back when I ask, but it's kind of a pain. This won't get around the forbidden games problem, though, as non-guaranteed keys are still blocked for a "few". Maybe moreso.

So, another question:

I created a giveaway, and somebody won it.
But when i go to my (trade) profile where it shows your exp i have still 0 (Also the "Giver level 0" bar has not moved).

When do i get the exp? Does the user have to redeem the key first, or give me feedback first?

Normal answer is that it happens when they give feedback, though I understand lack of feedback eventually defaults to good feedback.

With all the site probelms lately I'm not sure they'd have a way to do feedback right now. Users can't check to see the list of games tha are completed to see if they won or not and can't give feedback. Hopefully they'll get that fixed soon.

Ok, thank you :)

FYI: I can check what/if i won, and give feedback (but true, half of the time i have to refresh/reload the page multiple times)...

Hello,
Normally the winner checks if the key given is valid first, then they will give a positive/negative feedback accordingly. If you get a positive feedback, you will get experience points but if you get a negative feedback, you will not get any experience point. Just like I haven't gotten any feedback from you, so I haven't gotten the experience points. For more information, you can read the FAQs/support page.
Thank you.

Hi,

Yes, exactly thats what i was doing, waiting for the winner to give me feedback, so i could give you feedback :)

But apparently, that is not needed anymore, since today (i guess they implemented a new feature), the guy who won it from me gave me positive feedback, so the system automatically gave you feedback too! (Probably because many users got blocked that way when someone in the "path" didnt give feedback).
Anyway, i wouldn't have forgotten, but like i said, its not even needed anymore :)

Regards

Since we do not get the coins back when we give a giveaway for what is the amount of people and the price of the giveaway?

I created 3 giveaways. I got more than 1000 iC(1st 524 , 2st 384 and 3d 192). I can check who won it and see how many users own a ticket, but nothing about the coins I owned.

Back to the first question of the topic.
I don't understand why "We are sorry but this game can no longer be put in a giveaway" for me, but not for other people - I see some giveaways of these games from time to time. I don't think that "Nobody wants them right now" is relevant to the current situation at IG. So what are these restrictions for?
