what does guaranteed serial mean?

It means the steam key for the game is given by indiegala (or in some cases by a user who bought the key on Indiegala). These giveaways have a red color and if anything goes wrong with the key, Indiegala will replace it with another key that works. Hence they say it's "guaranteed". The other (grey) giveaways are for keys that are NOT coming from Indiegala, these keys are from various sources and are given only by users like you and me - so they are not guaranteed because it the key doesn't work, Indiegala has nothing to do with it.
