Another interesting example:
on an other giveaway website (where only the owners of the website giveaway games) currently give away the game "light apprentice". the exact title of the giveaway is "Light Apprentice (BETA)". Ive checked that game in the steam store (http://store.steampowered.com/app/569570/) where its currently in early access and not buyable. i guess they are both talking about an early access game which will be able to be played forever where is not limitation.

also i just activated this game:
it has been given away on indiegala quite often lately. its also in early access and not buyable at the steam store. i guess those keys are also no final realeases and some kind of beta keys? in my opinion not really clear.

btw i also activated one of those "warhammer beta keys" and the steam store tells me its the regular game. in my activated licences its listed at "Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade Soft Launch". i had card drops for this game and its listed on my badges. what is really weird: it says im qualified for (warhammer) booster packs but on the other side it also shows that i need to spend 9$ each card drop.

in my opinion its not really clear what kind of key youve got

oh okay! my mistake... didnt see its buyable!
but still steam calls it early access. other websites obviously would call it "beta".

Looks like Warhammer 40000: Eternal crusade beta keys are what in the near future will be the F2P version of the game.

Had the same thought for a moment but right now there are still regular card drops and it also shows im qualified for booster drops.
anyways, the game would be playable forever (if it gets changed to f2p at some point). a bad rating would be overdone then.

I agree. People are playing the game normally and winning cards.

If you giveaway beta key for game that is going to be F2P thats deserves negative feedback as well, because most likely those who boughtt full game will have full game priveleges tthen, and those who used beta key will have nothing when game goes F2P.

So you really think its possible to know what every developer is going to do in each of their development / release states? Right now its the full game and thats actually the only thing you can judge for. would you also give negative feedback if someone gives away a key from a game which afterwards gets baned from steam and the market? Its not like the giveaway creator has an influence and knowledge on/of everything.

Yes it is possible and super easy
1) those keys were given away in huge amounts for free NOBODY who giving them away bought them
2) they clearly state that they are beta keys in their name upon activation.
1+2 = those who give those keys away as a full game obviously trying to exploit the system nothing more nothing less.
