Hi IndieGala,

At the forums i've found the IndieGala Helper: https://www.indiegala.com/forums/topics/594. A great extension which I really like, however, in your Terms of Service you specify:
Restrictions. You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities: (i) copying, distributing, or disclosing any part of the Service in any medium, including without limitation by any automated or non-automated scraping; (ii) using any automated system, including without limitation robots, spiders, offline readers, etc., to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to the Company servers than a human can reasonably produce in the same period of time by using a conventional on-line web browser.

Some functions clearly violate this (e.g. auto-joining giveaways, infinite-scroll, checking all giveaways at once). Some (very usefull) functions do not (e.g. hiding/showing games that you already own on giveaways/bundles/trades).

Could you make a statement about whether using this extension is permitted (for now) or not?

Since 1378 people are already using it, it is promoted here on the forum, and because i don't want to get in trouble later, i'd like to know. Thanks.

if they took indiegala helper away from me again, I can tell for sure that I won't bother with this site anymore anyway. It is way too slow for me to comfortably use. If the IndieGala-Team decides to ban the add-on, they better make sure to improve their site in return to make it actually fun to use. :/
Just my 2 cents.

" to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to the Company servers than a human can reasonably produce in the same period of time by using a conventional on-line web browser. "

In my experience this means that you must throttle the script to only allow one action every 5 - 10 minutes.

:D:D sounds logical....it already takes me 15 seconds only to open a GA, 1 seconds klick the enter Button, another 15 seconds till the "Try again later banner "appears...and another 45 Seconds to repeat this action until the "You already entered....." banner appears xDD And all that without loosing an iC thats pretty cool ...............-.-

I assume it is okay to use seeing as it is a pinned topic in the "Help & Tips" area =]
Although i guess the forum mods pinned it and not the staff?
