Any chance Indie Gala would support feedback / bans on giveaway winners giving negative feedback?

I got my first negative feedback from crashforce3212 for a game that I am absolutely positive the key was valid. I have tried to contact him/her on Steam but to no avail. It seems like there are some really spiteful winners in the giveaways and it might reduce the negative feedback for valid keys if there was a way to give negative feedback and/or automatically ban them after a certain number of negative feedbacks.

I realize that there are unscrupulous givers that put up good games with lots of points in an effort to dump keys for crummy games that have lots fewer points (I recently hit one of those) or just keys that don't work at all hoping the winner will ignore the feedback. But if givers can be banned for negative feedback, then recipients should also be banned for excessive negative feedback.

The current system makes me not want to create any more giveaways...

You have 1 negative feedback out of 200 positive ones. So the percentage of people marking good keys (granting that as true) with negative points is 0.5%. That's not 75% or 50% or 25% or even anywhere close to 5%. Less than 1%.

Not to let IndieGala off the hook here, because they could do more against mean-spirited people and chronic abusers, but, literally, just from your stats and your given scenario, you've had 200 nice people to one bad one. That affected you so you no longer want to do nice things for those hundreds of people? To heck with that one guy. Seriously. Hundreds of people like your giveaways... and that's just winners, not including all the people who entered and didn't win.

I put in a friend request on Steam, by the way. Add me back, and I'll send a key for something off your wishlist. Your choice out of three I saw. I made a note in my master key list so I don't forget.

Nice gesture dannorder. Respect :)

To Topaz, keep your chin up. There are always a few people that will do it for fun/kicks. You just have to let it go and move on. As dannorder has said, its a small minority.

I feel you. This guy 0range3yes gave me negative feedback on a valid key, I tried to add him and contact him on steam and I get completely ignored. Also these people with like no games owned in their library should not be able to participate in these giveaways.

The only way to bypass that problem is the same as i do on steamgifts - you have to grind up some levels, and never make any low level giveaways ever again, cus high level guys know what the giver expects when you win a giveaway. One little problem that here even if high-level guy decides to troll you with stuff like that its not punishable in any way, while on sg, you risk getting your account suspended.

Thanks everyone for all the positive feedback
.
@ dannorder - now I know why I got a Steam "friend request" from you. And thanks for the great game trades!

@ Steveywonder75 - Thanks! It's just that I was so happy with no negatives - 100% positive feedback... and crashforce3212 ruined it.

@ cole420 - Same thing with me... no response... I had someone "friend" me on Steam and said that his account here was just for giveaways. I removed him from my hist and then I got this negative feedback... might be the same guy with a different name... so I agree that no Steam games should mean no trades or giveaways...

@ Xj9 - I did do that but the last time I tried to create a giveaway, it would only let me do L0 so I haven't put anything more in the giveaways. I suppose I should contact support but they have been very lax about responding.

@ despiseusername - I would do that but most of the IG games are not something I want or are too expensive to just give away. And I hate to buy bundles if there isn't at least a few games that I want.

Again, thanks everyone for the great suggestions... I guess I will try giveaways again... if IG ever gives me levels...

At least IG should give us the option to block users who won a legit key from us and left negative feedback. It's the only way to prevent them from entering in future giveaways. We -the majority- are against the current system, so why doesn't the support listen to us?

Great suggestion, p4n0s86! I think that would go a long way to stopping the negative feedback on valid keys.

This happens to me any time I try to make more than one giveaway consecutively in the same tab. Refreshing the tab always works to fix it. I often just duplicate the account tab several times and create a single giveaway per tab, closing each afterwards. I suppose we should report the programming bug to IG Support.

Hi!

Thank you all for your precious feedback. We are implementing right now a ban list for you to use. It will be available for every user above level 1. We hope this fulfill your desires.
Thanks!

You need to refresh the page or click on different tabs like trading and back to giveaway

That's good news, assuming it means what I think it means. All the fake giveaway creating accounts will be the first ones in there. Even if they make up nonsense to level up faster they still won't get my keys.

Is there any way to alter feedback you have given once posted?? I won a giveaway from a lvl 4 person, but the key was claimed. I attempted to find a way to contact them and kept seeing all blank statistics for the user when I tried to load their profile here on IG. When I looked at the giveaway game, I could see their stats, but not if I tried to load their profile. It seemed as if they had posted the giveaway and then erased their profile, but this is not the case. I most likely would have posted a negative review, but definitely would change my comment. If I could have found a way to resolve the used key, I would have reviewed it as a positive.
Here is the giveaway link: https://www.indiegala.com/giveaways/detail/268419
My apologies for commenting that MASTERHAENIR didn't exist, when it was the IG site consistantly failing to load any details.
IG, Please fix the load issues with your website.
If anyone can assist with how to contact a user and I can change feedback i would change it appropriately.
Thank you for any help

Any news on that? Got a false negative from lvl 4 guy, blacklist would come in handy

I got two negatives from Level 4 people that refuse to answer Steam friend requests to even talk about it. So, I don't think all high level people understand that what goes around, comes around.
