Once upon a time in a penny arcade...

When you're a kid or a teen, the worst thing, at least we thought so, is being so bad at a game that people will laugh at you. Or if you are bad, you shouldn't show it.

I remember once when we went to the neighbouring town at their festival. Our merry bunch consisted of probably 15 boys and girls in a range from 13 to 16 years old, boyfriends and girlfriends, siblings, but, first and foremost, good friends.

We sort of dispersed throughout all the festival attractions but, sooner or later, we all gathered at the arcades. Marko was already there, playing some game, with three tokens in front of him so he could continue.

-It looks cool. - said Vladimir, another friend after glancing at the screen - Are you any good?
-No clue. - said Marko and he dropped another token in the arcade machine - I'm not even sure which one is my character, let alone what to do. But it looks interesting.

To be honest, I don't think anyone understood what is going on - it was a top-down view and there was a vertical railroad in the middle with the train (I guess?) and some riders coming from left and right... I don't even remember the name of that game but I remember that we spent almost an hour wasting our tokens and trying to grasp what was going on.

I absolutely understand that feeling. I still don't have a clue why is Minecraft such a huge thing.
My sisters both play it, so i asked the more deep thinking of the two why she played it...and her answer was because it was something she could just change at a whim when she was bored, no particular gameplay aspect or goal...just freedom and basically no urge to focus on one thing.

Even people who play minecraft don't know why they play minecraft :ROFLMAO:

I can't force myself to play any game that doesn't have a decent story. Modern video games, in my opinion, are a sort of natural evolution of cinematography, a sort of interactive movie where a player is the main protagonist. The player is making decisions (often superficial but still decisions) and he/she forces a plot in a certain direction.

That's why I dislike co-op and MMOs so much. I see them as laziness, where developers are throwing away a script and expect players to do something that was supposed to be a developer's job.

Oh, my! I found it! And even in the video explanation, it still looks absolutely unbelievably complicated!

Totally agree...and its destroyed many good series. Even when they DO pure single player, usually it feels like it was built on an engine meant to be recycled until the next console leap...and it destroys what had potential to be great games.

If you pick any famous FPS franchise, you'll get 2 hrs of single-player and everything else are maps for multiplayer and 20 different ways of playing that multiplayer - and they expect you to pay that crap 75€ or more.

Sent a copy, hope i didn't GA it already 😅
What a nice friend^^

stormblood is also free on steam. but it seems to be EU limit promotion.
There is way to add it if you have steamdb extension install, and use vpn on steam web.
Add any game to cart with EU country location on, change currency in cart to euro.
then add on steamdb it will work. with steamdb extension*
You can turn off / log out / clean cart without any problem after
I think there was an update to this today and the restriction was lifted. it might be open to all now.

I keep seeing people post lenovo twitch live... is there something you're farming for? I can't see what the draw is?

thanks, added without being in EU and/or having the base game))
One more stupid mistake by Square.
Yeah...they'd better to give me FF7R for free))
Glad you added some :)
Yay!))
Thank you! yeah better separate headset.
Anyone said headset console? I don't suggest to try this unless you want an instant headache. I had the pleasure to try it in a retro gaming festival and I had to stop playing after 5 mins to avoid headache. I would still have it in my console collection.

I'm still planing to use some emulation of this one)) Had pretty interesting games^^
I do like when Dante cares commenting them
Love ya, pumpkin))😘
oh nice win! congrats
yeah, pretty much))thanks)
Although, I don't know why they used red instead of green, which is easier on the eyes.
Mario or Luigi 🤷‍♂️ lol
Didn't even realize... OK, then I must side with my namesake - red it is!
logical XDDD

hehe I tried Trainz 12 too and deleted the same day, I don't know why it didn't run very smooth on my pc, maybe it was bad optimized.

I never played Minecraft but I have to admit that for a while I was hooked with Creativerse. I played with a gaming friend and we got lost in it. Time pass so fast and we ended playing many hours straight without even realized it. This game have no real story, but the hook of the game is sense of freedom in a world that is infinite, you can create buildings and what I liked more is digging exploring the underworld and the more deep you go the more hard monster you find.
Creativerse on Steam
We played a similar one too called Trove
Oh, my! I found it! And even in the video explanation, it still looks absolutely unbelievably complicated!
What a weird game, I've never seen it, it looks hard.
Yeah...they'd better to give me FF7R for free))
I want that one too :ROFLMAO:

You don't miss so much and games only in red it looks boring after a while.

Absolutely true, while some coops are good for a fun time but the choice based SP games are at the top tier
I absolutely love the The Walking Dead Series and The Dark Pictures games for these reasons
They play more like interactive movies than games

I suggest you to play Titanfall 2 if you haven't played yet, it has the best fps campaign out there
Its sad that a titanfall 3 won't be coming anytime soon

Its really sad to see the direction COD games are going. Old COD games were a big part of my childhood

Yeah, it was like 2.99 a few weeks ago a really good price for what offers. Considering how good Apex is doing probably for sure there won't be TF3... Either way, EA abandons its old games. Take a look at BF2 which is old... but they remove it from sale at the end of April - The sad thing there are so many cheaters in their old games and they do not ban them.

Someday BF3,BF4,BF1,BF5 will have the same fate... Really sad
They know if they remove them from the store and close the servers people will have to buy their new games.

Hi silent_passenger, time to remember the old days 👴:

First one of my favorites, since I could finish it with a single coin:

I wanted to post more videos but the Forum allows up to 5 but I don't want to miss to mention other games like:
  • Final Fight
  • Cadillacs and Dinosaurs
  • The Punisher
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Knights of the Round
  • Pit-Fighter
Now to return to the present ;).

Greetings.

Sifu ... already out console and epic, but steam release in half a day.
Very good kung fu game. When you die, you age but get stronger.
"soulslike" to learn all maps then destroy everyone
