Once upon a time in a penny arcade...
When you're a kid or a teen, the worst thing, at least we thought so, is being so bad at a game that people will laugh at you. Or if you are bad, you shouldn't show it.
I remember once when we went to the neighbouring town at their festival. Our merry bunch consisted of probably 15 boys and girls in a range from 13 to 16 years old, boyfriends and girlfriends, siblings, but, first and foremost, good friends.
We sort of dispersed throughout all the festival attractions but, sooner or later, we all gathered at the arcades. Marko was already there, playing some game, with three tokens in front of him so he could continue.
-It looks cool. - said Vladimir, another friend after glancing at the screen - Are you any good?
-No clue. - said Marko and he dropped another token in the arcade machine - I'm not even sure which one is my character, let alone what to do. But it looks interesting.
To be honest, I don't think anyone understood what is going on - it was a top-down view and there was a vertical railroad in the middle with the train (I guess?) and some riders coming from left and right... I don't even remember the name of that game but I remember that we spent almost an hour wasting our tokens and trying to grasp what was going on.
