I actually don't enjoy the combat early in witcher 3 because your prone to get slaughtered every six seconds if your not creeping around watching for ambushes and overpowered enemies...I might actually enjoy it myself in the sense I mentioned. But most witcher fans wouldn't I would think...and thats where that opinion comes from.

Would it sell? Not likely very well...at least not more than any other game with the title of witxher attached to it, I mean that'll sell the game itself.

Sounds like the soulslike to me, and there are many 2D soulslikes out there.
I mean...I doubt that Witcher fans are playing games from the series just 'cause of battle system. Characters and lore - hard yes, witty dialogues - I suppose, exploring the world - definitely, but battle system? At least not in my humble opinion. But maybe I'm wrong 'cause I'm not a hardcore Witcher fan per se)

Of course, which is why the game would sell regardless, as for the combat...its pretty unavoidable at all times...so you may not enjoy it but you do HAVE to deal with it.

It actually stopped me from enjoying the story, too janky and button complicated for my tastes.

I mean they have a TV series based on it now etc etc...but my first experience was the game, so i'd never want to watch it unless I could force myself to swallow that first...and unfortunately I can't, as much as I think the series is iconic.

I meant Steam may be doing something about the card farmers, i mentioned before it looked like they were trying to remove the code for how they work...maybe they are. Someone who uses it will have to confirm unless the dev made mention of it on the git.
