I've just noticed the icons in my steam shopping basket arent what I expected. Right before I was about to hit purchase. So went looking for answers .. not easy to track down so I'll ask here:
The Halo collection is on an all time low sale. Yes I know it's by xgs ..which is owned by microsoft. BUT the icon in the shopping basket is the windows logo. No steam logo. So I went back and studied the description again and saw : Requires 3rd-Party Account: Xbox Live .. Meh (Yes we all have one if we're signed in to windows/ms.)
What I cant figure out is if the games are gonna run from the steam launcher/app or from the MS store app (which yes, is xbox, right?).
It annoys me when a game in one launcher triggers another launcher to open so that you can play a game. (My pc turns in to a harrier jet. Great for keeping me warm since its cold in my hemisphere now, but lag from two launchers running kinda kills the mood when you're gaming, right? ) An example of this is hitting the play button of Fall Guys, which I own on steam.. well the steam launcher triggers EPIC to open. Bruh. If I wanted to run it in epic then I'd have launched epic. EA games are another irritating launcher battle.
Is this what the halo games do? Trigger the windows game launcher? Call it the store or xbox app whatever.. but I need answers since I'm now considering not buying halo (and a few others that only have the windows logo which are also from xgs).
Should be discounted here too right? Makes sense? Nope.
