Falling still makes me kind of fucked lol...forget haptic feedback, you get that with a steering wheel these days and honestly the oculus does a poor job of it, maybe AR in the newer ones helps. never had the chance to try full body gear unfortunately or even the vive which definitely has a better sensor setup and gear.

Pretty sure you and I have the same model controllers (the black rift-S type) and if so then I know for a fact that my controllers got at least two updates last year (via a firmware update of course). Have you played First Contact? The game in the headset that teaches you how to pick up things and throw them, shoot targets, etc? The haptic feedback seems pretty real to me. I dont wanna argue tho and like you I havent tried a vive or pico etc for comparison to my quest, but would love to. I dont like the fact that with the vive you can only use it in one playspace since you need to set up basestations around a room for it. I'd take my inside-out tracking over that any day. I can play in my playspace (a dedicated room for vr in my house) or I can play in the lounge room, or in the bathroom if I really wanted to lol.

Dont get me wrong. I know how lucky I am to even own a VR headset. I dont know anyone else IRL who owns one. (no, you cant count the Cardboard )

Definitely not, the quest has an entirely different shape, they have covers that turn them into guns for your headset, not mine...I always wanted them

My sister has the quest, I love the freedom of it, I don't see much major improvement other than that and it hugs around your eyes better IMO...the controllers 'seem' the same by grip, but they're not by button design for certain.

Lenovo can forever fade into the ashes after that run, bejesus motherfucking killer of christ. Worst time EVER, then realized I also lost my twitch password when I lost a good portion of mine, game, set, scratch...keep it
