I have more jesters than anything myself...people are just stupid trolls. I got 2 at once for standing up against a dev being a rip off asshole (speaking of this, edit below)

The big problem is everyone uses the cheap jester as the only insult and they have multiple different awards for actually being useful lol.

When I tried to buy one on my own account it was to remove the jester from the top three on my profile :ROFLMAO:

Don't ask me why since its always hidden lol...but I also got quite a few random high point ones for helping with technical issues on the forums there,

At one point either Bandai or Capcom actually gave me one themselves for helping the users, I gotta admit that was pretty sick...and getting one from them showed they actually appreciated me doing free tech support for them

EDIT:
Anyone here ever played AOA Academy? Its smut...but theres a bigger point here 😂

If you played (or worse payed) for AOA Academy on Patreon, you know it was abandoned by the developer...the same developer who makes (or stole) the game Being A DIK (almost an exact replica of AOA down to the character design), as well as Acting Lessons.

Dr PinkCake...whos honestly a DIK himself heh.

Anyone who knows about both games is more than likely well aware, but I figured I'd share since he just bailed on god knows how many paying patreons with their cash.
Well, as someone who knows A LOT about the adult visual novel scene, I can tell you that you're wrong.

A. O. A. Academy and Being a DIK didn't have the same dev, for starters. Also, A.O.A. was one of the billion attempts to cash in on BaDIK's popularity. Now, there were college/uni/school-based AVNs before BaDIK, but not one of them came close to that level of popularity and quality.

I knew Dr PinkCake before he became a big name in Western AVNs circles. I talked with him several times and I supported his creative decisions when he was attacked because of Acting Lessons. As he would become a bigger name, you could also see some of his negative qualities - greediness being one of them, disrespectfulness for his fans and first Patrons from the well-known AVN forum, where almost every free-lance AVN dev started and so on... But there are also some things that he is rightfully respected for - his coding skills are impeccable - there are no bugs in his games and he even created his own anti-piracy trick so that no one can poke in his game code. His writing has a flow and game choices are clear and impactful - although I would criticize some of the plotholes and the way he built suspense in a few scenes.

A. O. A. didn't have exactly good coding. The new update would often break the save file from the previous one - something that DPC never did in his games - and choices in A.O.A. were often badly implemented. The only reason why some people think those two games are related is that one of the main girls (Jenny) looks like one of the main girls in BaDIK (Maya). And that's all. I could write a lot about AVNs and all that's happening in those circles, but there are more important things to talk about. :D

These must be regional (?). I get errors when I try to add them. Sadge.
The reviews tho 🥶

Have I missed something? What are these "Jesters" you guys are talking about? Are they legit badges or something?

Thats something your better off reading, or skipping entirely. Its a thin line of difference and just terminology as the douche debate we had here awhile back proved quite nicely

A language is just that, like a spoken language...

It has it own coding format and syntax (way of being written, like a literal language)

Its own built in functionality and terminology (parts of built in code that are unique to it, like different character sets in spoken languages)

The language also determines which compiler or development environments you can use (a different accent depending where the language is spoken lol)

Its literally a language, you learn to type it instead of speak it and each one is unique but many are also similar.

This was a joke about how its like a spoken language, but I believe it may make it easier to understand.

Code is what is written in that language, you can type it up in notepad if your good enough...where to use it is dependant on which language, OS, and IDE (Integrated Development Environment) you PREFER, there is no single place you can use code, you can compile it yourself from notepad files as I said...if you know how to use the compiler.

I would start with...searching for something along these lines (they are not from the site)

Hello World! (in preferred language)

What are "Variables" in (preferred language)

Mathematical Operators

String Usage / Modification (this one can be hard for beginners depending on the language)

What is a Function (or Subroutine, Sub is actually easier)

Pointers

Buffers (and "Memory Allocation" depending on language)

Variable Scope (or just Scope)

That ☝️ will bring you to the different type of files that can be used in that language and how to interact with them all, such as Classes, Libraries, etc.

Which is why I saved it for the end.

By the time you get through those it should have pointed you toward more complex concepts and you can decide which ones you think your prepared to learn.

Thats just a general list off the top of my head and I am always thinking of C or C++ Style Programming so some may not be relevant in the language of your choice, particularly Memory Management, most higher level languages handle that for you automatically.

If you can make it through that much with a half decent understanding, your off to a good start honestly (y)

Good luck Guts, let us know if you turn out to be some sort of coding prodigy overnight
gonna sent this at our pv so i wont lost, hope that i turn into a genius programming too XD, i have some easy and hard time to understand things, like i can understands lots of things easier, but i forgot them easy if do not train them, and also sometimes i can't understand something if don't get all questions " out of the board" be it a dumb question like a 3 years old would ask...( those who work with or learn mathematics may understand me in this way as something really "dumb" can fuck your equation answer)

Yanno what? Keep asking questions till you understand and then you'll remember. Doesnt matter how many questions you ask or how many times you ask the same question. Learning is hard sometimes. Even more so with a language barrier. I have faith in you 🥰

Oh sorry. Yeah there are indeed several of us here who watch. I personally often forget to check the timetable (which I only just found out existed), or discord, or the forums so I appreciate the reminders of when Legion is streaming.

Yay for the 10 thru the calendar this month!
I already upgraded Chai Stones to Stone of Cromote but I see there's another upgrade available for 16 fragments - which I can afford - but Im personally holding off any more upgrades and wondering when the next artifact will drop so now saving my fragments since new artifacts are cheaper to upgrade the first few times. Yeah. Burned by the April Fool one, but learned a valuable lesson from it 😒
Thank the prankster Aliens that it wasnt upgradable! (or that I didnt? 🤔 Cant remember right now)

Yeah, i have 16 too, and waiting for the next artifacts too, because all i can do is upgrade the one that currently makes 4 ARP per day to 5, so basically 25 ARP more each month (because in the calendar when there are other rewards there are no rewards from that one), which is not even half of what i do everyday with only the Twitch quest...

So you have your twitch artifact (Pn295) maxed out? 10 not 7? I see both are 16 fragments for me to upgrade (Stone of Cromote and Pn295) hrm. Hefty price. Not for now.
Makes you wonder if AWA is gonna make another Tier tho since it's now easier to get arp (if you're dedicated to watching twitch daily for example), or perhaps raise the min Tier to buy from the vault. 🤷‍♂️

Hey Gamy 👋 Long time no see! Bummer about the raffle 😔

Oh indeed i'm still at 7 on this one. But i'd like to understand how it works exactly, it would just be a +3 ARP on a complete twitch session, or i can expect to have even more ?

Maxed out Twitch Artifact gives +15 ARP. Requires 25 Fragments on last rank.

Yeah, more or less, but I've still managed to add at least one (KurtzPel) and the other one (Elseworld) is a no-no in my region((
No, but only because I've seen it before
Oh, okay))
Mine was 2 in 1 - classic and more difficult, with pentaminos. No snakes, no racings, no shootem-ups. I still think it was the best option 🤌
Dunno...🤷‍♂️ If I've had the same but +more how it's not a better option?
Otherwise anyway, it was the best game at the time))
Oh, nice one!🤘
Also still hope it's a girl in a suit (I have a thing for girl-drummers, especially for good ones)

Never knew that...interesting (y)

Also quite sad since I've made a custom version of Tetris, one where you could create blocks

Thats what I get for not reading past Pentium. (programming joke, no confusion of the blocks)
It was a whole range of different very cheap devices with different amount of games "pre-installed". I don't know if there was something like this all over the world, but it was as widespread in post soviet countries as mobile phones are now - they were played at home, in public transport and places - everywhere.
I even found a picture on the Internet of exactly my version!

WTF. This is my photo. Exactly mine. This is my windowsill under repair. I once took a picture of it, posted somewhere, forgot it, but someone found it and is now reselling something with it? LOL.
