Unfortunally it wasn't never released on the genesis. This was very bad for me because I had only genesis and not snes. I played it on the arcade cabinet and later with snes emulator.

EDIT:

Seems to be an improved version...still has Orchid, Jago, and Chief Thunder (GB limitations made me a monster with Thunder)...I'm game.

I'm gonna be the one who has to install this at 47GB and decide if it sucks, expect an ADHD review soon heh.

This ones decent...and if you reinstall it when they randomize the characters they give again, you get to keep the original ones as the DLC is added to your account usually (how it worked on PS3 at least), I believe Dead Or alive 6 base game is free too, but it crashed on launch for me so again, i fucking uninstalled it

They screwed up by taking Ryu (not SF ryu lol) out of the game, along with the other chick who was way better than Kasumi. I forget her name off hand and I'm playing a practice round now lol.

DOA 5 definitely gives you the better default characters (at least when I had it), and its MUCH smaller...but at least they left me my favorite, which is where KI screwed up.

All I needed was Orchid and I would have kept the game, maybe Jago and thunder.

Genesis had Eternal Champions! that noone seems to remember and Mortal Kombat with the blood. I remember when KI was in the arcade, that it said it was "available for your home in 1995 only on Nintendo Ultra 64", before Nintendo dropped the "Ultra" part. Also, I think Rare was a Nintendo-only developer at the time, then it came out on snes and Killer Instinct Gold is on N64.

Moxie is definitely an acquired taste, but I've come to like it. I bought the 12 pack in the pic to experiment with some mixed drinks using it which came out ok. I just had a beer at a local brewery over the weekend that was made with Maine blueberries! It was delicious.

Both of those sound like something I should try! You're making me wish it was summer so I could pick some wild blueberries.

If you think Moxie has a taste, you should try Haymaker's Switchel - it's an energy drink that New England farmers used to drink during the day to keep going. I had some from a country store and it was the worst

Disagree, can't learn a character if you have to rotate.

All purchased Steam versions of Killer Instinct will be upgraded to the Anniversary Edition for free.

Rename Anniversary to paid and you have your answer...the assrape version is what they should call it. Its a marketing scam and a terrible on at that...at least DOA allows you to learn the game and even compete online with the select characters, gives you a real feel.

I'd prefer a fully unlocked demo with a limited play time and zero features than zero characters personally.

Sadly nope, after several Game Vaults people finding those numbers, AWA decided to hide it completely, currently are only guesses and half-confirmations from Admins.

It was good, I played DOA5 on ps3 the free version with few characters had some fun, don't know if 6 is same thing.

Free upgrade for purchased version is good. Rotating characters can be fine to see if it is worth to unlock the full game. It would be better if there was a kind of ingame currency you can use to unlock characters as you can do some games. For example in League of Legends or Paladins there is free rotation characters you can select and you can also you unlock champions with ingame currency without spending any money,
