I am looking for some good RPG game. For me the most important is plot, role play and I like 'From zero to hero' (no level scaling). What I love: Gothic, Risen, Elex, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Spellforce. What I don't like: Witcher, Dying Light, The Elder Scrolls. Do you have any interesting suggestions for a game for me?
The Outer Worlds? It's an action/shooter RPG in space

I just remembered Kingdom Come Deliverance , main character of that game is a definition of a "zero to hero" type of character .

What you think about Bethesda games in general ?
I only played Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Quake, and only tried Wolfenstein and Doom for a little bit.
Quake Champions is ok, more of a nostalgia trip for me. I used to play a few matches every day until I payed for EAplay, now I stopped. Good shooter, very fast, great looking champions, but nothing special. Game connection is kinda unstable, my ping is over 100 and I have good internet connection, trash servers for the rest of the world, maybe good in Europe and USA.

Elder Scrolls - Morrowind is great, cult-classic I have a lot of respect for that game, but I didn't play it that much, I watched my brother play it. I was addicted to Oblivion when it came out. Finished it probably 3 times, with hundreds of hours invested in it. Skyrim is my favorite, and I invested probably a thousand hours in it. The best thing about is modding, I wouldn't even play that game without it. Skyrim has the biggest modding community of all the games and you can literally make the game that you want to play. My favorite mod is Legacy of Dragonborn.
I tried Elder Scrolls online, it's the best MMO that I have ever played, but it's not for me, I would rather try a lot of games than play one for years. And Bathesda is charging for every single thing in it, you can spend hundreds of dolars for stuff and still have more things to buy.

Fallout - I already talked about it in the previous post. I love it, great world-building and lore, but I feel like Bathesda is destroying it. Again, if modded, it can be a great experience, even 3 and 4.
I think Fallout was the best when Obsidian was making them, they had a vision and they know what RPG means.

Overall, I think Bathesda lost it touch, they became a power/money-hungry corporation, almost on the same level as EA. I think Todd Howard is a huge douchbag, he used to be a cool geek with fresh ideas but money corrupted him, now he is a rich CEO with leather jacket that collects cars and cares only for sales. I'm glad it got bought by Microsoft. Microsoft now owns both Bathesda and Obsidian, so maybe there will be a new Fallout made by Obsidian in the future, fingers crossed.

I don't know in which order he choosed to gift those games , if he went by who was the first to reply , I am never fast enough :ROFLMAO:
Still I am happy for every member of Gamer's Lair that managed to get something .
I think there might have been some post confusion (therefore giveaways might not have been in order). I also had some issues getting used to the mass amounts of requests when I started making a longer list giveaway some time back. But for what it is the giveaway was certainly the biggest so far (without combing through keys faster than a Ninja)

Yeah, Dark Souls giveaways indeed... I won DS2 ON reddit 😇

I won a lot of games there in 2020, did a few giveaways myself there (mostly Fanatical mystery games). Now, it's extremely rare to win.
I am still hoping to own DS1 to 3 some day. Got really hooked on FromSoft games after playing Bloodborne. Life is tough why not make games played tougher? :ROFLMAO:

We are hooked on tough games for a reason or another it attracts for some reason 🤪

That is really quick. I read that only 1k keys were given away.. Sad but I just have to look forward to the next giveaway (and hopefully not miss it) ;)

By the way there is leak about next game from alienware. It is supposed to be Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. But I am not sure how reliable is this info.
If they do I am gonna camp my spaceship on their site. Well I am gonna camp my spaceship on their site now since they have been revenge giving away games for the lack of activity since October last year 😂

Your generosity really knows no bounds Kurounin! Now that I know I am readying my greedy paws for what you will giveaway tomorrow 🤑

Kingdom of Amalur re-reckoning maybe ? what you think about this kind of gameplay. Also Lewitas thank you for trying to gift me Last Dream, its thought that counts .
Speaking of gifting. I am truly blessed to have zolivv giving me Shadow Warrior 2. Yaromirro also reached out to me with this game. These 2 weeks had been tough mentally and emotionally but the kindness everyone is showing here is certainly something I am really grateful for life. :)

if there is a desire to try what the jRPG genre is in general in its classical sense, then this game will open and close this topic once and for all.
JRPGs are love for me as well but sometimes the hours needed to pump into completion surely is overwhelming at times 🙃

time to pick a winner... and the winner is...
Nice! Really happy that Jer7cho got that win! 😃(y)

I always wanted to give Skyrim another go , I wonder how much would mods improve the experience , only played vanilla , but the sheer amount of mods in that game , where to even start :ROFLMAO: I'll bookmark Legacy of Dragon on Nexus page .

You hit a nail in the head with this one .

Ty for such a detailed reply .

I highly recommend playing it modded, it's a totally different experience. There are around 67000 mods for skyrim on nexus right now.
Legacy of Dragonborn is not for everyone, but it is my favorite - you have your museum and put artifacts/weapons/armors/collectables in it, it's perfect for my style of play, since I like to collect stuff and display them.
But beware - modding is really hard and takes time, the last time I played, it took me 8-10 hours to mod everything before I started playing (downloads included).
Ty for such a detailed reply .
Thank you for asking and giving me oportunity to ramble endlessly about games and gaming. Gaming is my passion and I love talking about it. Also movies... :)

p.s. btw I finished ME1 on insanity it was a pieace of cake, I died maybe 3 times, but only cuz I got too relaxed and cockey, can be done without dying. Now I'm on ME2 insanity and I'm crying. It is SOOOOOOO hard, it's a living nightmare. It is almost a different game, shooter with real time strategy with pause. Yesterday I finished the infamous Collector's Ship and it was hell. I think finished the worst parts (Horizon, Collector's Ship and recruiting Garrus), but still the last mission is also one of the hardest (and maybe shadow broker DLC). It's not impossible, but it is so frustrating and stresfull... I love it
