I got Starcraft: Remastered from Amazon but will never have time to play it. Is there anyone here who loves RTS and wants the game?

You'll have to create a new battle.net account and share the login info with me so I can link to your account and add the game. I've never done this before. I hope it's an easy process.

You must have missed my earlier post...let me detail it for you though before you do that.

I just got locked out of Amazon with my phone number as a secondary device with full access and they wouldn't let me back in without the main phone or email address...not even with the primary account holders SSN.

Be really careful you have YOUR phone linked to your account before you change the email address...seriously.

I called three times and they just refused to acknowledge me even seeing my phone on the account as an authentication device.

Evidently email is more secure than your legit ID (damn auto correct) now by their standards.

EDIT:

I don't want to deter you from being kind, I just want to give you a heads up since this has never happened to me in all my years with this account.

If your only changing the battle.net it may not matter...but the main email I'd be wary.

So. Hrm. I sat in the stream for hourrrrrrs coz I only had 2K coins. About an hour ago I noticed the option to redeem it was gone so asked HSF about it. He said he bought 150 keys and thats it. Oh well. The Steam page said this game will release on the 3rd. (So there is no price.) Well its the 6th where I am. So again I asked HSF when it will release. He said many devs do that so that many ppl wishlist it before they can buy it. He didnt say why.

So why? Does it push the game further up some wanted list or something?

dev gifting or giving away keys do this for marketing purpose, HSF also offer marketing service...when a game is wishlisted by many people it has better change to appear in searches and attract potential buyers
opquest and givee.club are the best exemple...devs give money to these sites for their games to be wishlisted

I was interested personally to see if it has anything to do with Steam directly and as far as I found in a quick search, the only thing it may do is exactly what syleox said.

Higher chances of search results, curator recommendation etc.

Its just a way to basically push yourself up the search engine, narrow down your fan base and potential sales and in which regions it may be popular from what I gathered

Which in all reality makes it foolish IMO to force it on users, rather than make them watch a minute video or something similar to actually see if they like the game...since one purpose for it is to calculate potential sales from notification emails being sent upon release.

I have no more knowledge than anyone can find doing a google search, but if I were the dev I would prefer real statistics for potential sales than being shoved up the ranks by force.

Just my two cents from an outside perspective, but if I had a game up on Steam everyone here would already have a copy (and I would have no sales heh) so I obviously have no business sense whatsoever

I doubt Godfather bought those 150 keys. He's getting paid to promote these games.

I've no idea why the dev delayed the release. I'm guessing he found some last-minute bugs and didn't want to release his game in a broken state and have it trashed by negative reviews.

Btw, I managed to grab a copy before the game ran out. It's yours if you want it!
