I am not fan of technical car games, but I like more arcade games. I enjoyed very much The Crew 1 the map is so huge, I love to drive in America streets, multiplayer is pretty dead but I don't care I play from time to time and relax just driving. I don't have yet The Crew 2 but I saw on youtube the first one has more real graphic
Another arcade game I like is Burnout Paradise, I like games where you crash your car, other games like that I like are Carmageddon and Destruction Derby.

I'm thinking about really old arcade games
Battle City
Choplifter this is the 3rd
I wanted to avoid open world...if that was't the case NFS Heat would have filled the gap...almost any NFS game really. The Crew may be an exception due to the vehicle diversity on the map

Brothers If you dont like that word than friends If you still dont like it hey somebody can we concentrate on the share here.
I am maybe the oldest people in this community. Now I am taking that card out. I am 50 and still a gamer. This is nobodys concern but still saying as an oldskool thing. Stop the drama and lets enjoy here together.
Sorry, you may be one of the few who could say that to me, I'm an old man myself, though you got a few years on me. Which is why that word hits a nerve. I was doing what I'm seeing back on AOL...and that was after my BBS days. A child with a few cheap toys and tricks should be careful who they call out.

On that note, I promise this will be my last response in any way about it, I'm just blocking him when I hit my PC (I hate the web on phones) lol. End of story, tra la la...we can all roll on like it never happened.

Just hope I don't block other peoples replies by doing it, I've never been on this site on my PC :ROFLMAO:so I'm not sure how everything runs, which is why I always end up looking like a toddler myself lol.

Sorry. That one set me off. Done.

Can find almost anything on a torrent lol. But I doubt anyone would care about even asking if they were doing that lol.

I like to keep my neck above water when I can find the game locally.

Everything is tracked these days, even VPNs are almost useless except for a quick web hop country swap...if someone really decides to pursue it.

Got both demos on standby , just not downloading right now cause its storming here, setup is way too damn expensive to take that chance. Thanks man.
The Crew 1, I got it some year ago in 2016 from Ubisoft giveaway, I kept in my library for years without playing it then I when I saw it has so huge map I wanted to give it a try and I really enjoyed it. I want to play it one of these day, I hope server is not closed because if you want to play single player it has to be connect online.

Really, looks like I'm aiming for part 2...I hate that online required single player BS lol. You try lately? I doubt they're still enforcing it, especially if the server IS down.

If I end up getting either one, maybe I'll drop you a DM ad we can get into a game two player style ;)

No haven't tried it lately, I have still installed, I can try it and check it out. I hate it too you have to be online to play single.
At the moment I don't have the second one, I haven't bought don't know if my notebook will handle it and with the summer the temperature will go crazy. lol Ok if we both will have game it will be nice to play together. ;)
Was already yesterday: GAMERS LAIR

Lemme know on part 1...it'll probably be down the road a bit (I'm game over-loaded atm), half from what was left from giving and half from getting games here :ROFLMAO:

A laptop?

Ouch...you might wanna stick with part one or at least check the specs, it seems pretty heavy with the vehicle switching, especially online.

Knowing you like older style games its not that big of a deal for you I suppose but that took me by surprise lol.

When I DL the demo later or tomorrow I'll let you know how a gaming rig handles it before you even think about it...don't want you blowing your 'top' lol.

This is the Gamers "Lair" right? Because I need some gamer opinions lmao.

Any fans of Need 4 Speed: Hot Pursuit?

Anyone found ANY game like it?

I have been hunting for a similar arcade style racing game where you just pick a track and race ever since I beat the game, since before I actually got involved in the forums.

I own Most Wanted and NFS Heat, both open world, both with car customization (most wanted' upgrade for EACH car is ridiculous lol)

I just want to pick a race (maybe a car) and go with something similar as far as game mechanics, I'd love to get into sims but I suck without a wheel and I just don't have the cash to invest in one atm.

Before the Steam sale ends (and all the crazy sales), does anyone know of any games that come close?

I play offline, don't want like 12 tracks, I know I'm likely not finding the cop/racer factor (own rivals too lol), I bought a whole racing 'sim' bundle with no luck and the internet is useless.

Its what I played when I just had a few minutes to kill and didn't want to get invested in a long series of events...being done with it is killing me lol.

Any ideas? Anyone? Idc if its indie or some Japanese game I gotta hijack over a torrent lol.
Openworld killed racing games!
Have you tried Forza Horizon? I haven't tried it, but I've been thinking about trying it for a long time. As for me, it's looks like a classic arcade - get into the car, ride on a beautiful track, then change the car and the track.
And it was also a surprise for me that DiRT 5 is not at all a simulator, a classic arcade game with the most classic formula - select a car, select a track, ride. Next stage. But remember that a third of the game was cut off in the DLC, the number of tracks is not too large, and the title obliges all these tracks to be covered with a thick layer of (beautiful)... dirt.

Couldn't agree more 100% (y)(y)(y)

I thought DIRT 5 had like 12 tracks, so I ducked it. Forza I had once and the control scheme (to me at the time) seemed beyond using a controller, I have had my eye on it again after trying the sim racing games which have even more complex controls, but thats something i'm waiting to catch a sale on again.

I got it for a steal once and never should have returned it (like $12 all DLC), fools move, but I was poor and needed a game to play lol.
