Its a very friendly environment as long as your being friendly. Pull up a chair, grab a beer, and get to know the crowd. You'll relax fast enough.

Most of people here are introverts and not really sociable. I wanted to write this to you sooner but I was kind afraid what people might think once they read it. However once people started giving positive and encouraging feedback to you I decided to join in. And that is awesome about forums, you can engage when you want and choose not to if you don't. It doesn't really matter even if you make a bit of a fool of your self, we all have been there, if your intentions are genuine and positive you'll do fine. I remember when STRAH001RUS started being active in the forum, there were so many missunderstandings, google translator didn't help there at all and he sounded very raw. But he is good hearted guy and in the end he was well accepted here (though he is an extrovert). But my point is, if you are being nice there is nothing to worry about. And as a bonus you get to practice your communication and opening up a bit since being communicative and outgoing for introverts is a part of learning process, the more you do it the better you are and right here is a perfect place to start.

Thanks for the detailed input. I don't own any Kart racing games, so this might be a decent addition to the library.

Even if online multiplayer is dead, I should get a few hours of fun out of it running through the different tracks solo.

Another one that pops up a lot in GAs is Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing.
It's quite a bit older, but looks decent.

Honestly I think Sonic was made for the same purpose and would 'likely' be better than Garfield because of the fact, but I couldn't say for certain...so I didn't lol.

I don't enter when I don't want the game for me to play...lessens the odds for those who actually would. But thats just me.

I don't like Mass affect, I do like the witcher...although it needs a better combat system before I stay interested (and only the newer ones with controller support)

Nope. Never played CTR. Thanks for the recommendation. I have it in Retroarch/Playnite now

I ran a couple of races and got 2 trophies. Second race came down to the wire!
The PS1-era graphics are rough, but the controls are fun.

The new nitro-fueled version looks cool. I hope it comes to PC.
