I hate when that happens in games, I hope there is a kind of fast travel or boots of mobility. If not I should find mods or tricks for it to speed up boring travels.Just as a warning, from my perspective, Dragon's dogma is not a finished game. It's a heavily rushed game cause of lack of time & money.
The main & only selling point of dragon's dogma is combat.
It has easily the worst quests I have seen. Almost like a place holder. Like kill: 30 male bandits (what), kill 60 skeletons, kill 40 wolves etc. You just have to accept all quests & the quest will be completed on its own.
The game wants you to travel to everywhere & it can take (no joke) upto 20+ minutes in real time to walk there & there is nothing significant in Between.
The game has so much cut content.
In Oblivion fortunally there is the fast travel and in my last run I used so much times. In the past I would visit each corner or the map by walking but I have not so much time to spend as when I was younger. I am a part time gamer

Thank you for saying it, but I would prefer playing on Steam and not on Epic or Gog.on sale on Epic as well: https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/skyrim
Plus on Steam it costs less now, and because I already own Oblivion and Morrowind, Steam gives me an extra discount and it
the price to 8.99 Eur if I buy with the Elder Scrolls Summer bundle.
