DMC5 was hyped (by fans, not by developers themselves)
You think? I was one of them
Now reverse the criticism, because DMC 5 is gorgeous, dante looks badass as a geezer, but Neros destructible buy more "Mega Blaster" arms (just as an example, maybe I should have used the pasta one?) made the game suck tbh. Its the first one I didn't even reach end game on, including DMC 4 (the boss massacred me, well the boss rush actually)...but at least i could play it far enough to get Dante.
DMC 5 has one saving grace, vergil. Period.
From a fans perspective, never even read a review before buying it.
is a NO-NO!
That reboot was a part of the CAPCOM's "westernization" line (Bionic Commando, Final Fight: Streetwise etc.) and all those games bombed.
Bionic Commando (and I've played the NES version) is fucking incredible EXCEPT for using Agea physics or whatever the fuck its called causing the crash on load half the time.
Wait...so all of a sudden the infamous "tank controls" become a problem for you, even though the first game in the series had the same controls?
Nope, totally wrong. The first game was slow to react, but it didn't force you to walk forward ONLY using up on the d-pad, it had up-left, rotate your character while walking back...you couldn't do that in part 2...and I have the original remaster, i'll boot that fucker up later today and make the point if need be.
I don't get it...maybe there's some misunderstanding going on, so please, explain
Your simply wrong...on the original versions, not the remasters, the controls to turn were left on the pad or analog and up/down to walk forward and back - AFTER the original in the mansion, they got those right. The third I don't remember much, thought that was first person or something stupid (3rd in the west mind you)
Porting has nothing to do with an art direction, acting, directing, music composing etc.
Never said it did, its the camera controls that make it horrible, you can't see half the time in corners and such, idk what they did...but I beat that game 5-6 times raising difficulty each one to try and get a permanent devil trigger cheat for fun (before it was a DLC) and then my Playstation got reset during a power outage and I lost it all
- ffs, they've changed Dante's origins, made him a half-angel.
This debate ends here, by the hand of your own sources...even they can't get the fucking story right, same page...two different entire fucking scenarios.

Human? Angel?
And for reference...
I'm done with this whole wiki citation now.
