It's so bad when it happens, I checked his profile, it is old 2019 account, he never received any ban for the moment, I'm guessing it could be that account was stolen to a legit user then the scammer used stolen account to scam other users.
Bad thing is the scam was made outside steam so if you report him on steam, there is any visible traces of the scam for example steam chat.

It wasn't the AV that alerted me, it was something that happened when I loaded it up. I scanned it after the fact.

And If I scanned it, it was with either Norton or Malwarebytes, slight possibility it was AVG back then, but I usually still double check.

I don't use websites to scan for that exact reason lol.

Not beyond possible, as i said...I wasn't stating a fact, just a personal observation.

I was obviously interested in the game if it ended up on my system even long enough to come to this conclusion...maybe I'll give it another go sometime and see if my opinion has changed.

Just sharing my thoughts on it, I can't be sure one way or another at the moment...when it happened I was only concerned with my own PC, so I didn't dig into it enough to be sure 🤷‍♂️

I know what you mean, sometimes I've the feeling that some programs or games are not completely right , or they are like they track your activities or steal datas, anywway I think downloading from steam it should be pretty virus safe, I just I don't trust some developers with privacy policies.

I'm surprised they live in yours tbh, first time I ever seen or heard of one myself.

Unfortunately yes, I had to bomb to kill a colony of ants and then those fuckers crawled out of the woodwork in different random ass places.

This is whats been keeping me busy lately, trying to prevent the ants from marching back in...my 'new' apartment...considering they were right next to my bed and PC, I had to rearrange the entire place to seal all the holes after i bombed, the struggle is real :LOL:

Turns out that trade was for me...I thought pete just meant I'd be disappointed he got caught up in a scam.

They already targeted the wrong person before I found that out...and that made it worse.

This is what OSint tools are for.

They were already here, but ya...more shit came when everything was dying--which in truth is actually expected.

Them blowing in out of nowhere was the part that shocked me, I have to assume theres a hole in my closed loop heating system (drum roll please) :ROFLMAO:

Lucky you, this is my first and hopefully last time...at the least they're harmless compared to some other things that could have showed up heh.

As someone who was a dick most of my youth and literally watched Karma hit me in face knowing exactly what it was hitting me for...I have to disagree.

We all pay the price someday...its why most people repent on their deathbed IMO.

I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to learn early in life...now I just play messenger here and there :LOL:

Another note on this...its not that they slip past karma, its that they get hit so hard we never hear or see anything about it :LOL:

Especially when they piss off a government agency or corporation. They just kind of vanish silently lmao.

EDIT:

I know when i catch a mofo that deserves it your not gonna hear anything about it unless its from a government agency :ROFLMAO:

You don't shoot someone and then brag about it unless your an idiot. Online or IRL.
