Gave the crew a 'quick' run...or what would have been a quick run if it didn't take me 35 minutes to get the game to start. I had to go into the game folder and run the file as an admin just for it to load
I hope the intro is a terrible way to introduce the mechanics because switching between vehicle types was about as far from seemless as it could get, basically you just jump into another entire race and one vehicle is gone as a short scene throws you into the next.
Steam did make my controller work, unlike trying to launch it from Ubisofts app when I downloaded the demo, the driving is so so, not nearly need for speed accurate but not terrible either, gonna take some getting used to for me...the boats and planes are another story (particularly the plane--ick, you turn with LB/RB using a rutter), and the CPU seemed to always be a step ahead, but it may be intentional for the opening run.
I need to fix my GPU holder before I can crank my fans up (lost visual the other day with a bump, not good lol), so I dropped out for now to avoid issues, especially since i need to clean the fans severely from this dust pit and I've been procrastinating tearing the entire PC down since I feel like crap half the time.
I'll give a better mini review later, but I figure if anyone else tried playing it they would want to know what it took to launch the thing...and to say it wasn't terrible even for the buck...since i've played some racers that weren't even worth that
