So basically if you have Forza Cards right now, whatever you list them for could become the last remaining price to exist until someone is foolosh or desperate enough to buy it. Its a risk though because you can't change the price later either and it could take years upon years before you cash in.

Unsold cards will eventually be given back to you, so they don't stay on sale forever.
I didnt know that part, evidently I'm not the only one who caught this...but you actually tried it

I thought steam did it intentionally to raise the value like limited edition baseball cards or key markets to be honest...since it makes no sense in any other realistic scenario, but it seems the reason is to prevent that same exact thing instead.

Makes you wonder what would happen to all those banana hours.

I just sell all the cards I get, but some people undercut you, and I don't check. I list and forget. After maybe six months without being sold, the cards just end up in your inventory again.

Popular delisted cards would have value on the gray market, just not Steam's marketplace. Steam also don't get a cut of trades, so they're throwing away money there.

No one is ever getting back their banana hours.

Ya happens to me too, but I don't sell them all and I don't recall ever being notified of any being returned, I likely never noticed since I have cards I'm making badges for ironically...with a totally private account :ROFLMAO: 🤷‍♂️

Again, totally private account so the thought never even crossed my mind. I didnt even know there was a market for cards besides Steam

Today is the last day you can buy forza horizon 4, make sure to sell your steam trading cards before the game gets delisted
Also last chance to grab this, I bought the Ultimate Edition to get the Lego Add-On so I thought I had everything...but this free one wasnt included and I almost missed it.

You figure they would have delisted it AFTER christmas at the very least.

There goes that get rich slow scheme
You can also craft your own packs from gems, even if the game is delisted. So if you despise human interaction, it is still possible to get the badges without the need to engage in it.

The rarer and more desirable something is, the more you'll get for it. That's partly down to the game's popularity, but some badges are more popular than others, ignoring the game's popularity. Some cards have much worse drop rates than others. Some games also have items, like backgrounds that drop from packs and are popular.

Is anyone getting rich here? No, probably not, but just like the banana things, some people make money, a lot of people hear about it, and then a lot of people waste time trying. The devs and Steam getting their cut from every transaction are the only ones really making any money.

Ya but that leaves me you with MORE unsellable cards, I do use the market so its not that horrible until you can't sell or buy them.

Obvious way of the world...entire thin air value of crypto in a nutshell right here.

The owners of gala?

The reselling crooks with 10 alts maybe 🤷‍♂️

In a general sense of real users, obviously not from just being on this site...even using alts here to snag like dollar keys seems like more effort than its worth to me...the only thing your really going to find here is either solid friends and/or connections (depending how you view things), the widest variation of information from indie games to AAA, opions on those games, as well as giveaways, freebies, and low prices all in one place.

And these days to the dismay of everyone only looking for the latter...good conversation and some good laughs if your not to busy bitching about the page count to actually enjoy the moment like its a forum and not a goto for fast info and chit freebies 🤷‍♂️

Agreed. If you're going to that much effort, you might as well just get a job or something. Same with farming cards. I always farm cards on my account, but I don't bother creating multiple accounts to do it.

Part of the fun of winning random stuff is that it's random. I've never heard of a lot of the games I won, and never would have if I didn't get them for free.

And that my friend...is what makes gala great, and the reason I stuck around to give back and support the idea originally. Its the actual point for doing GAs here and the reason its worth it 🫡
