Totally, your new cooler looks great and you did an amazing job cleaning everything to a brand new like condition.

Ryzens in general use a lot less power than modern Intel CPUs so you can still get away with a really good air cooler. It's cheaper and more reliable in a long run. That's all.

7950x3d uses less power than Intel's i5 13600k.

Intels entire line with this mixed process core crap was a joke, the 1300 series in particular with all the failed processors...I intentionally avoided my upgrade for a long time waiting for the 'sweet spot' that never came. My i7 was one of the best processors they ever made, i'll ride it to the grave before I upgrade to that trash

If somebody asked me about an intel with all this, I woulda told them to suffer it out and buy a new board lol.

If you don't have money to replace everything inside you PC in case of a leak stick to an air cooler.

Close loop AIOs a generally safe as an air cooler these days, I leak test them once from shipping because of shipping...after that it doesnt even concern me.

Now doing custom water cooling is a different beast...but if you can afford to buy the parts you can probably afford the mistake too.

If I had the money for it I would have done it honestly.

I'm sure Intel will be back just like AMD was with it's Ryzen CPUs back in 2017 after years of mediocre products.

I'm sure they will...and they evidently made a decent GPU out of the failure (which was desperately needed--especially without EVGA around anymore) so it wasnt a total loss for Intel...just for the people who bought the processors it would have been different if they replaced the whole batch...that was sleezy.

On a side note, user mistakes aside...Corsair's Warranty actually covers ANY Damage from a failure in their AIO for five years. Including other parts from coolant leaks.

And they have stood by their warranty in EVERY single situatuon I've needed a replacement. Every.

I couldn't even get a voltage specification sheet for my MSI motherboard when it was past warranty...Corsair replaced a power supply that blew from bad voltage in my apartment, my original AIO on a guess it didnt work, as well as my LC100 nano leafs without a receipt

Yes they did but in Europe Intel's B580 is closer to 7700XT money (€320=336USD) so it's not that good of a value. AMD and Nvidia have much better drivers at the moment.

Obviously I don't do low end parts...ironically because I can never afford to upgrade. I go big and ride it out till its absolutely necessary and the next great thing comes along...better to spend high once than upgrade every few years in my situation, so I dont buy anything that won't be high end for at least 5 years. I went from a 1070 8GB to my 3090 24GB and ignored the next series entirely, it was the memory that made the real difference, unless your overclocking the rest wasnt relevant enough to care.

Still waiting for the next good Intel and I'll probably put it into the matching EVGA Dark/Kingpin motherboard which is for overclocking. Add more Corsair RGB memory and then start using the newer Corsair Linked Fan Products for my case (I dont have the header right now), as well as bring my PSU up to 1000 or 1300w (EVGA as well).

Set for another 5-10 years.

Just use minimal pressure with an almost dry cloth.

In everyday tasks, you won't notice the difference between the selected CPU and the 7700. The motherboard doesn't affect performance at all, so overpaying is unjustified.
