Seen all the idiots on scooters? It would be just like that, but worse. If they were just killing themselves, it would be fine, but they are killing pedestrians.
Didn't say I wanted a hoverboard that would light on fire or I was stupid enough to ride it through traffic, I was a skateboarder at one point and I pulled some moves that could have ended bad in traffic...but I was aware of the risk when I did it, not cruising down main roads lol.

Theres really no difference except a lack of wheels, stupid people will find a way to get themselves killed.

If I did miss something where people ON scooters were killing pedestrians...well, just imagine if they had a car

Mostly in Asia, and mostly where people are on the sidewalk, or other pedestrian only area, and usually young people killing older people. It has happened in the US too.

Maybe hoverboards would be too difficult for the average moron to use? I have seen a lot of people stand on skateboards and just instantly end up on the ground. It's quite funny.

The problem with scooters being they are too mainstream, so every moron thinks they can ride one, illegally modify them for speed, and ride them illegally in pedestrian only areas, killing innocent pedestrians.

As for that, yes. Worldwide, a million people die from cars each year. That includes drivers, passengers, and of course pedestrians. Fortunately, the number of people driving illegally in pedestrian only areas is fairly low. Not zero. A Chinese man intentionally killed 35 people recently. That's just because they don't have access to guns like Americans do.

Not important here...people are too busy screaming at the circus 🤷‍♂️

Skateboards take some skill but its not too difficult to just ride one with minor practice...its harder to hop up curbs or go down hills than anything as far as just travel itself goes...and honestly its more exhausting to push on a skateboard than its worth compared to walking on anything but smooth concrete...and there aint much of that anywhere besides parking lots

Unless they strapped your feet to a hoverboard like a Snowboard (which is likely) you definitely won't be going fast without killing yourself...and its more realistic people would remove the straps and use them for trick boards instead of speed on them even if their feet were strapped.

Good thing about them is your getting killed first in any situatuon...so caution is alot more mandatory even for morons.

I thought you meant the small trick type scooters, not the sit down and ride type scooters...which again would kill you first if you hit anything...I mean if thats the situatuon then electric bikes are just as much of a problem if not more...I would definitely jack that up myself to get where I wanted faster--but I can drive lol.

All kinds. Scooters are non road legal motor vehicles. Motorbikes have laws and licenses. Pedal bikes don't require licences, but are for the road, not sidewalk. So scooters are anything that is not those. From tiny wheeled circus things, to giant, but not road legal, personal mobility devices. Like the kind you rent with an app.
