I'm still adding the properties manually using a python script (which i'll automated as a batch file myself--in english lol) but I can probably find that inside ren'py, i'm not sure because I had to download pyinstaller to get the functionality this time...but I know i've seen something similar to that block somewhere in the ren'py source code, the same place it makes the PE file header...this is all familiar to me from C honestly or I wouldnt have thought twice about it.

Amazingly I never checked the file properties, I assumed it actually did it by itself. A foolish assumption considering the hassle of adding a file icon, but if it adds the icon it has the capability.

um., I had no issue with you having the code...unpack it again, my issue was preferring you didnt catch a virus. If you haven't learned about my ability to say go fuck yourself if i'm not happy instead of making excuses then you really havent been paying much attention.

This was what happened when I ran unren on it, because unren replaces part of the files it and runs through the application itelf it flagged it as my program.

This is also why nobody wants to bring this up--because nobody want their application to look like its at fault.

There is certainly no reason for my application to be seeking credentials and it doesn't happen without using unren.

I'm not the one who needs to relax there buddy.

Frankly I was surprised you had ren'py, either you went through alot of trouble to help me out...or you were already tinkering in ren'py, either one made me appreciative enough to feel you deserved a warning--one I already brought to ivos attention, and other than that wasnt going to mention unless I could prove it...but i felt you deserved it.

You got it backwards man.
I just said what I said: I first said that I didn't like the menu, then gave an example, then read about the technical difficulties and went to check manually whether it was really so. I think I finally understood the whole point of the question: I can do literally everything there, but manually and in a serious graphic editor. Even correct the different indentation between the menu lines, i think. Other game resources, except for graphic files, don't need to be changed for this, so I simply don't need to look there, and unlike the graphics, I can't do anything there.

The question was initially a yes/no only, which simply dragged on for a long time, so there's nothing new to say there. That's why there is no point in discussing it further, the question is simply exhausted, there are no other reasons.

The only thing I (still) don't like about all this menu chaos is a strange idea - (is it RenPy's own idea or is it the author's idea) - to make the menu with images? Yes, I'm going too far, but in the event of someone potentially translating the game, all these images will have to be redrawn every time for each new language, it's much more logical to output it as text so that the translator only has to edit the text file. With the right approach, all four frames of each button are redrawn in a minute, it takes longer to save the files there, but the fact itself is unnecessary work. (Although translators are usually lazy asses and don't know how to choose fonts properly, so they don't convey the author's vision).

That last image, is using ren'py text...I was asking for your thoughts on how it came out. Only the 'Option' menu was done.

No images whatsoever.

And it was my choice...but remember, I had no clue what I was doing in ren'py or python at the time. All this was learned as I added preferences 🤷‍♂️

I didnt even know how to add outlines then.

@vic-viper

I was able to imitate the text somewhat...but like I figured originally, adding a border when they're not selected makes it hard to tell when you hover over them.

When I asked for pixel art dante, this was the art :ROFLMAO:

Yes the shifting letters are intentional, because the outline in ren'py unlike when I made it custom doesnt do too great with a darker white/grey and the outlines are as thin as possible using that method.
This is just text.

This entire program, as sad as it is to the rest of the known ren'py world, was built on pure determination alone, I had zero knowledge when I started this project.

Well, it's hard to say without seeing it in person, but it definitely doesn't look any worse. Plus, it would definitely help with the translation, especially for languages that use the latin alphabet.
I can fix the rest of the menu and send you a copy for either mobile or PC (or both) if you'd like 🤷‍♂️ Better than waiting for the release build and mass feedback.

Two things I need you to be aware of...unless you know how to transfer your android saves--they'll need to be erased. Same in the next version anyways. I could explain how, but its really not even worth it this early to be honest.

And I cant gaurantee this version would be completely bug free right now if I send it, safe yes, bug free, no. The ending may crash due to me fixing the episode swapping code mainly, I haven't tested it fully yet Unless you play to that point its fine.

I'm aware (now) of the picture translation issue...honestly when I made these was when me and ivo decided to actually do this together.

The entire UI before that was done just to help ivo on his way tbh...I had no intention of becoming fully involved or learning this much of either language except for modding.

Funny how things work out...a simple gesture turned into a full blown life project 🤷‍♂️

What's up with HB lately?
A lot of exhausted keys in the past months. No bundles for a while.
Can't even write Capcom...

"Just added to choice...Nested Lands Alpha Test Access... Supplies are limited"

Guess that answers your question pete :ROFLMAO:

Can't even write Capcom...
I thought you did that and said you couldn't even write capcop as in email them...wow, major mental meltdown on my part. They actually spelled capcom wrong?

They're about to go bankrupt from the lawsuit lmao.

Maybe in the next life they'll actually base their headquarters in an english speaking country instead of California :ROFLMAO:
