They're not really killing it, it's killing itself.
IG are letting the GA section run, but don't moderate it in any way. They do provide their own GAs, the ones in red, and give instant XP, the guaranteed ones in blue. So they do want the GA section to exist, they just don't think it's worth putting the bare minimum of effort into.

They do now...but if it gets to the point where its basically just them giving keys away...it won't stay running forever, again this was my entire point...long term big picture downfall of all these people putting up the same keys half the world already has from amazon (the other half being elloco and his alts ), as I said I don't personally give a flying pigs arse, I'm just explaining how they likely see it as a business concept.

They put some up, users put some up to reach higher level GAs of theirs, it keeps a rotation of choice going and they only have to fund half of it...when it gets to the point where they are funding it by themselves (i've noticed already they no longer do higher level GAs like they once did to persuade users to do them), they will stop doing them and cut their losses.

I assume it would have to get to a really bad point for this one to actually happen, as I said its a good business move for them...but the more people go against their rules (that they won't enforce, its true--only cursing is evil here), any business thats losing money and not attracting customers would stop doing a failing promotion as part of a site.

In the end, IG is at its core is a business, the store as we all know is their only concern they take aeriously...but in a second hand way that is a part of the store, just a part they could remove if they decide its not worth it anymore.

Putting up keys nobody wants constantly, even enough to irritate people away will hurt that section and in turn affect the customers it brings in (which i'm sure they keep tabs of by link redirects), if it actually gets so bad that its no longer worth doing...it will die.

You know this from the challenges, it may have happened when they claim the site was broken, but they didnt half fix it, its not even realistic from a programming aspect...that change was intentional, less cost, no real loss to them since its for new customers not regulars to be a fun little spin...and the giveaways are meant to be give and take to keep the game rotation fresh....

I'm not going to keep responding to multiple comments after this to keep repeating the same point, its just my opinion, its obviously not written in stone...but from a business view its the most logical outcome 🤷‍♂️

We make it crap, they only check links to the store and never even look...those links get real low they decide its not worth the keys, game over.

Or to dissuade users from reaching those levels. I did it in part because the levels are there, like achievements.

Sure, it could be intentional, but it really could just as easily be explained by incompetence. They did slowly fix things, and they kinda work now.

As for loss, they have to decide whether or not the people it attracts are converted into paying customers, and whether it's worth it or not. It mostly attracts people that like free stuff, but will get the occasional whale.

A lot of the keys don't work. I have no idea where they got the challenge keys, but if the pool dries up, and is not topped up, or considered profitable enough to continue, then they will stop doing them. I think it's worth doing the challenges just for the silver to enter GAs, and the occasional bonus prize is a nice extra.

Again its from the stone age, but it is a nice little combination of trinkets to lure in users or keep users here. Honestly even the forums do them favors in that regard...I would have probably dumped a brick into the store for giveaways in the forums if it didnt stop accepting my payment methods eventually 🤷‍♂️ that was their loss and god knows why it happened...seems i'm in the minority there. Now i'm too broke to care lol.

The swap to silver was definitely intentional...incompetence comes into play when things just dont work...thats likely WHY things didnt work lol. You don't change the key to copper ratio on accident...if you dont know wtf your doing you just dont touch it.

Again...entire point in a nutshell...but we affect those numbers with spam bombing the GAs, for better or worse I couldnt personally say, but most avid game collectors will pay the change for prime if they cant get them another way simple or free. Actually makes it worse because the users spamming them likely never buy anything anywhere and if they have prime its probably for that reason lol.

Talking about giveaways and IG support, I recently won a giveaway with a key from an older bundle that they don't sell anymore ( guaranteed giveaway ). Unfortunately, it was used, but they offered me 10$ Galacredit, which was very nice, and I appreciate their help.

Talking about Xbox there still are games you can get for free:

The Walking Dead | Xbox
The Walking Dead: Season Two | Xbox
Crackdown | Xbox
Crackdown 2 | Xbox
Too Human | Xbox

These are for Xbox 360, but it took me a long time to remember claiming them so if you recently started using that too might interest you, but those are old games, but as far as I know, you can play them on new versions of Xbox consoles too.

Edit: This is active too:

In The Abyss | Xbox

No Vpn needed to activate:

Ikaruga | Xbox
Metal Slug 3 | Xbox

Just translate the page and claim it

Gravity Circuit - 312 MB

This game deserved a little special attention, being a Mega-Man (maybe more zero-ish with a short knife?) meets Bionic Commando Mash-Together that actually came out really good with fluid controls, the ability to grapple walls and enemy projectiles, slide dash, and special weapons of course, while needing to swing over large gaps with the grapple (you can also hold some enemy corpses until you want to throw them lol), the story and graphics are nothing to write home about...but they got the gameplay aspect working together incredibly and it was included in HC recently.

I've mentioned some Megaman clones/wannabe games before but this is by far the best of the bunch and all I played was the first level of it. If it wasnt for persona and court coming up I likely would have continued playing tbh

At 312 MB I can't see it being extremely long, but with the simple graphics (old MM stylish with less color), it could be.

All I can say to fans of those games is definitely do not pass this one by...you'll regret it

At 50% GPU fans, processors sitting at about 35-40 (def good) and GPUs got minor temps but at half fans that pretty well optimized too considering the graphic improvements (like being able to tell the women are actually women lmao)...seems the temps like most games go up when theres almost no need, but all in all this one runs nice and smooth on max.

I miss this game, if it wasnt so extremely overprices for an atlus game I'd buy it right now.

They're not really killing it, it's killing itself. Now that there is mostly GOG games, playtest keys, and ridiculous amateur games at 200$, not much people put any real game in it, so even the abusers get out, after having upped hundreds of account with 200$ games.
If they take away the Amazon and Hede games then there won't be many in the giveaway section. I think the real problem is that Humble Bundle stopped the bundles with the $1 first tier and beat the average (BTA). The BTA price ended up becoming around the full bundle price. I've always wondered if that was a coordinated attack on Humble Bundle.
