It's not as good as it used to be, and I think it went downhill after they acquired AdwCleaner, which was really good back in the day. Or that's what I feel after using it again after so many years.
Yet, compared to other antivirus programs I know, probably Malwarebytes is still the best of them
Its better than false positives, which I never get unless I put it on maximum lockdown (like preventing brute force attacks), then it flags some normal sites as trying but it still doesn't effect my usage of them (and who knows--maybe they are accessing stuff they shouldn't technically be to make their site work better?)
It HAS saved me from accidental clicks opening phishing links and the same when i'm knowingly going stupid places...not like I would have clicked them in the first place or fell for it, but its a nice extra layer of security on top of conmon sense I like having there...especially on touch screen, I do kick for it once a year spending like $20 for 3 devices (one being for my ex whos not nearly as savvy as me--this habit started after her card got hit for $1,000 holiday shopping)
Its the only AV I find worth anything, and I get it more for her than myself since she's always helping me out and neither of us needs the stress.
You can live without, but of your going to get any of them...it might as well be malwarebytes.
I see those detection reports as a 'you need us advertisement' and ignore them entirely
