I was thinking about how to make fun of the USA right now, but then I remembered you have Trump for president, and I felt pity.

Rightfully so...I no longer consider myself American, I'm a toursit who got lost and ended up in the twilight zone. I was honestly trying to remember the national anthem the other day and couldn't remember the order of the free and the brave...then I realized we're neither anymore so it didnt matter. I confused it because I always say home of the slave these days.

I'm a freelancer who just works out of the USA lol.

ok, the forum is working terribly again and loading every other time, I'll try to express my opinion in more detail.
OF COURSE, Resident Evil and Dino Crisis are good games, I would say more, they are great games, they are living classics, but these are games for those who played them THEN, playing now with static backgrounds, tank controls, manual saves, and more or less existing in-game difficulty will be a very strange and very painful experience, which is not designed for modern players. This is a game for old people who want to remember how green the grass used to be, and the sun shone brighter.

Personally, i still get a kick playing old video games.
The reason is simple, when i play old games, i put myself in that time frame mentality and appreciate the game(s) for what were.
The OG RE2 is still one of the greatest games ever made.

Breath of Fire is from the same camp, but in a different genre. Is it a good game? Of course! Will anyone play it? To play it, not put it on the virtual shelf of a virtual library?

See above, the only difference is that i never played any Breath of Fire.

Witcher... if you already have a GOG account and don't have the first two games there - you are definitely doing something wrong.

LOST EMBER... it seems to me that such games are released once a week, and everyone's libraries already have something similar, only there's not a wolf playing there, but a fox, or not a parrot flying, but a wind itself, so I'm not interested at all, but at least it's a game, and not some in-game resources for mobile crap that no one plays.

Atari 50. Everyone who remembers how to play this game died a long time ago. No one will play it. But for the sake of laughter, someone will launch it once or twice.

I applaud this game existence....even if it's not something i would want.....AT ALL.
It's basically a love letter to Atari, it has 115 games and 52 downloaded...the problem is, 99% of the games are awful nowadays, unless you are really nostalgic.
And that's why God created emulators....

Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templar: Reforged - this should probably end first, because it's a remake of the remaster of the director's cut (which absolutely no one asked for, but it is what it is), that is, a completely new game from 2024 if you're lost in time somewhere 5 years before the release of Dino Crisis. But nevertheless, this is a free opportunity to see what and why they re-released it this time. And if you haven't played it yet, it's a great series of quests with a good story and logical puzzles, it's worth joining the series.

I have the director's cut (given by GOG a few years ago), so also i game i wouldn't buy...but would gladly accept it for free.

You miss the most important thing in my words - you play and REMEMBER how you played this before. This is not the same as someone NEW will play. For new players, these are outdated technologically, visually and gameplay-wise games that are too hard, that have inconvenient and unintuitive controls, that do not forgive mistakes. All these re-releases of old games, all these new games that are created according to the patterns of old games and that look like old games - are designed specifically for old players who played them as children. For all the new gamers? You don't have to go far, look at what Resident Evil 2 is now on Steam. This is a great, this is an incredible game, but remade from scratch for modern standards and for modern gamers.
