Hmm, with the new rules, it's tempting to split one ticket off for Vessel, but in the end I think I'll essentially stick with my original plan. So then:

The only real problem I saw with the previous set-up, was that you'd kinda locked yourself in to what the next entire month's giveaways were going to be. But that issue alone is enough reason to prefer this new arrangement, IMO. After all, I somewhat suspect there'll be some time-sensitive keys from this year's Jingle Jam popping up here soon...

About the recent discussion of alpha/beta keys etc: I also am mainly interested in full games. However, perhaps in the future there could be a middle ground - perhaps Indiegala could provide a way to mark a giveaway as alpha/beta etc., so that they would be shown as "Beta", "Alpha" etc. badges on top of the game card directly in the giveaways list. That way, people would not mistake a beta for a full game - or there could even be a filter to omit those while browsing.

(Other issues with that would be how the ticket price, and experience points for the donor, should be calculated. Perhaps there could be some way to solve this, like a discount percentage when it is not a full-game key?)

Yeah I also thought about that, if the giveaway cards could be marked properly then it would also allow for people to giveaway games for other platforms like GOG and since you can buy keys for UPlay (Ubisoft Connect) and even Epic Store from the Indiegala Store, which would make it even better in the long run.

Edit: There's also some Steam DLCs that don't have the DLC banner in the store image so people might think its a full game when its not, thats another good tag to add aswell. (Example: https://www.indiegala.com/giveaways/card/warlock-2-wrath-of-the-nagas/779229)

And, if there's a toggle to omit these keys, then no-one would need to feel "cheated" because it says what it is right there, you don't need to be opening every single giveaway you want to enter to check if the description says its for a beta anymore.

As to the ticket price, for the other stores it should still be the same calculation as the Steam one, but if its for a beta key it shouldn't be any higher than 1 galasilver and with no exp gain (otherwise it'd be mass flooding of beta keys just to level up which is what people are currently complaining about), after all it is a beta key.

It does ! I've been using it for nearly 2 years, it's really easy, and you can hide many things you don't want to see (owned games, games you mark, etc...). And you can have all the giveaways in one page (just have to scroll to the end).

Yeah I recently created giveaways for 2 of the Edna and Harvey games (1 & 2) and the cost to enter the giveaways was different, the 1st game was only 16 silver, while the 2nd game was 104 silver AND its cheaper than the first game in Steam! And if you check the Daedalic Armageddon bundle, its GalaSilver cost is just 69 and it contains both of the games + a lot more.
So thats also a thing that needs to be looked at.

I will just put some words here. We are here expecting to get games that last. I mean if you were to win a game from the weekly wheel and ending up knowing that is a trial key wouldn't you too feel anguish?

And because if we have such mentality that "Hey if someone is doing this and if I do that too it shouldn't be bad correct? So let's do more". That kind of mentality sparks a wildfire that became uncontrollable. Indiegala is already at their capacity now that things have gotten so bad I bet in the past (before pandemic) things were much more in control. Just don't add to the fuel and make things harder and we will welcome you here with broad arms.

I've told tryyear before to avoid doing betas/trial keys or I will revoke his chances on the wheel here and I will also put them now to you. I am not overly concerned about how many silvers that beta key will cost but if we keep allowing for more betas shouldn't we already be good friends with Pouffy and S*l*m*n now? And if we are good friends with those 2 shouldn't we just invite them with a royal carpet to instantly win games from the wheel? I will just say this anymore betas/trial keys instant revoke from weekly wheel.

im very emotional and right now im feeling very sad. I have no more words. all the post i was trying to explain i dont think it was wrong but im in this site not long and might made a mistake...bur insulting me and all that messages of you Wrong you Wrong Kid was right... im in breakdown state. We all love and welcome all and we do make mistakes I admit making 1 bad mistake and I am not overly ashamed to say that it wasn't for a cheap giveaway either. But so long as we proceed in future with knowing that we should only be giving keys for permanent games is all good. I wouldn't brand you a cheater as doing so I am also to brand myself as one. Don't worry it's all good. I appreciate that you came forward with telling us that you made a beta key over being silent about it. Just like tryyear did with his older giveaways. No future beta/trial keys and we should all be good
