Wow. Good detective work. And that's really, really shady. Was there actually no winner, so IG just kept the keys? Or did those all go to users with blank usernames (which IG should not allow)? How can we get to the bottom of this? Combined with the NUMEROUS problems the giveaways section has had lately, I don't think I'm very motivated to put anything up for a GA now.Originally posted by: Antagonius said:Many completed giveaways from yesterday have an empty winner field. It seems that nobody wins. Eg.
And probably many more.
I looked in the page details for many of those giveaways, and where other, previous giveaways have the winner indicated immediately following the lineOriginally posted by: Antagonius said:Today again: empty winner in most (all?) completed giveaways.
Also in indiegala's symmetry giveaway: 23658 tickets sold, but apparently no winner.
Maybe this is only a display issue and someone has won.
Whoever reads this and won some giveaway yesterday or today: do you see your name in it?
virtually all of these have that field completely missing. To be specific, the field property "firstChild" has a null value in the more recent giveaways, where it was defined as text and contained the winner name previously. So either someone has rigged the system to steal all of the giveaways and hide the recipient, or IndieGala changed something in the script to not include that element which could also mean that a single recipient is getting all the Giveaways, but that that recipient is IndieGala itself.
why doesn't your screenshot show giver information at the bottom of the ticket instead of the "view on steam" link?Originally posted by: Nefer said:Has anyone else been getting this particular error?![]()
This started for me right after the giveaways section came back up, it's only happening on those top three giveaways. I can enter other giveaways just fine. I'm assuming the giveaway host was banned but I'm not sure why one would try again in a few minutes if the action was banned.![]()
are all three of them from the same giver?Originally posted by: Nefer said:I'm using Redsparrow's Indiegala Helper extension, which is changing the ticket up a bit. Your post reminded me to turn that off and see if the extention was causing the issue. I'm getting a different message with it off, "You are not allowed to participate in this user's giveaway" which sounds more like a blacklist message.
did you give both of the other users negative feedback on one of your previous giveaway wins? it seems unlikely that someone with no connection would blacklist you and also unlikely that two people would blacklist you for negative feedback (based on my own experiences in giving negative feedback, but this could vary)Originally posted by: Nefer said:Two of them were yes.
It is simple: they are from the "to check" list in my profile.Originally posted by: chstwnd said:Antagonius, if you're around, can you describe how you got that list of results you produced? I'm not having any success searching for winning giveaways for the past 24h/week/month, although just searching for giveaways turns up numerous results, leading me to believe that the date metadata for IG is jacked up.
