Yeah it hasn't been available for almost 2 days now and the devs don't seen to be responding to support emails about duplicate keys and such from this weekend either, so I don't know what's going on.
I contacted support on sunday and got a reply today with a new key.

Challenge is back, but it seems like now it gives keys only for Dungeon Crawlers HD and Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi
Also they fixed archers so they don't stuck

Had the same experience. Is it technically possible to give away those keys that one has unsuccessfully tried to activate, or are they expended / wasted once they are entered into Steam? I did give away 4 keys for those games in the Keydrops Thread, but I'm not sure anybody could claim the games. At least nobody confirmed it.

Edit: got confirmation that those keys are NOT wasted.

Why are you doing tasks impossible?
I was doing the competition with 60 wild grass (previously — 58). It was already almost impossible. After about 30 minutes, the goal was already 64! What kind of grass do you smoke?!

And such situation is with almost all competitions...

Just as I started the round, a sound played several times overlapping itself and question mark appeared on the ground, I'm guessing that was supposed to be the axe since I couldn't chop trees that round. (I was playing in Chrome)

I did the task with archers but did not receive anything.
It's possible you just have to wait, I had one key arrive several hours late.

I have a suggestion. Instead of making the challenges harder for everyone, you could charge 1 (or 2?) additional Gala Silver for every key won.
Let's say, someone has won 10 keys. Why not make their entry fee 30 (or 40) Gala Silver?

Maybe making it harder for everyone is more just. But charging more after a victory isn't exactly unfair, either, I guess... Up to today, I found the Challenges challenging, but manageable. Starting today, they are becoming close to impossible... Especially for those that had their issues before the increase in difficulty.

They are not becoming impossible.... They became impossible! (n)
Dear developers, when it will be again possible to win in your game let me know, please. 🙏
In this moment I do not ready to spend my time on a game that cannot be won...

Did anyone manage to break 16 rocks consistently? So far I seem to barely manage 15, and one time the placement was so stingy and chaotic that I barely got 14. I think that technically 16 was possible, but you'd really have to be flawless both in planning the route and execution on those maps.
That is the correct and easiest method. Just do it on a 1x1 left and right movement. I've managed to get up to 21 berries. That is probably the maximum it allows. Once i got 18/18 berries, i tried 3 at once to grow until 21, and barely managed the time. There's plenty of room for error if you do it like this.
I do a 2x2 and get 20+ every time even without doing it perfectly, but 1x1 works as well.
You guys apparently have much better reflexes than I, because getting 20 with mistakes just doesn't happen for me, and without messing up, the 20th plant only finishes growing after the timer runs out, if I even manage to get over 18 :)

The key is not to mash the mouse, but by timing the clicks accordingly to each challenge. It's easier for me because i have like 800 hours in Don't Starve Together, and you can cut trees and mine rocks there faster if you time your clicks, so i had a bit of practice.

The tree challenge has small trees that take 15 clicks to cut, if you time the clicks, you will notice it will swing faster. You can get like 9 trees there so there is room for error.
The rock challenge has the brown rocks that take 7 clicks to break, and the timing of the animation is a bit slower than the trees. You can get like 1-2 extra rocks out of the initial goal
The Geroge W. challenge just requires constant movement by being close to any bush and avoiding doing the long hoeing animation if it doesn't detect any bush to cut. I think you can get like 10 extra bushes if done almost flawlessly.
The archers are easy because if you notice the spawn points, there will be shadows spawning there. Just move to the spawn and spawn kill them there. I usually only have the below road actually spawn archers into the arena, but both left and right roads have archers sit at the spawn. Just look for the shadows and spawn kill them. You can get like 12 archers killed.
The berry thing i just did it in a 2x2 pattern by growing 4 at a time then moved to the next 2x2 area and repeated the same thing. You can get like 20 berries if done almost flawlessly.

Just avoid doing the long animation where it swings on nothing. That's like a 1 second penalty each time you do it.

Managed to get like 18 games out of it, although 2 of the keys out of the 18 were redeemed by other steam accounts, and like 5 out of them were DLC's for games i do not own.
Well, screw you too, buddy. They did exactly what you asked for and the challenges are impossible, expect for the "Elite" Stardew Valley and DST players.

Well god damn, it's as if they took the average player's amount of tasks they overdid on the previous challenges, and they tuned it to become the norm. Each challenge now can barely be done by the skin of your teeth.

The rocks are the hardest for me. Manage to get 16 from time to time, sometimes i get 15. Rock placement can really screw you.

Trees are 9 instead of 8, wasn't too difficult, i just had to count 15 clicks on each tree without screwing up and hitting into nothing, which does that long animation.

The bushes likewise became a bit by the skin, but it's doable as long as you don't hit into nothing and keep moving. 69-70 are maximum i could get.

Berries are still easy, 1x1 pattern and i constantly get 20-21 berries. Doubt it's possible to get over 21.

Archers also became a bit dodgy. Just go all in and stunlock them so they won't react. You can manage to run up to them before they shoot but it's still not guaranteed, sometimes you have to dodge and all. It can screw you because if it keeps spawning one archer to the left, one to the right, one to the left on and on and on, it makes you constantly move the area left to right, and it consumes a lot of time.

Out of the 12 tries, i failed like 3 of them, 2 of which were the rock challenges, and one was the archer challenge.

The challenges are a good idea but I think that they're mostly impossible (at least for me).

I did win one challenge and got a key for Theatre of War DLC rather than a game. I already owned it but redeemed it on my spare account. Can the game title be displayed as well as the key ? Also don't give away DLC that requires buying another game first.

The new difficulty is hard but not impossible. I still got 8/12 of them finished today. The problem is that it keeps giving keys for the same game almost every time. Today out of 8 keys, 4 were the same game (Nosferatu), 2 were both Dungeon Crawlers HD, and the other two were both unique. There's no point in even playing if they just keep giving the same game over and over when you win.....

The team working on the Challenge is constantly trying to find a sweet spot for the difficulty, this is why it's oscillating pretty much now. Only thing I can say is that challenges are aimed to be very difficult in first place, but I realize some tasks are way too hard now. They are all possible anyways, @affirmative figured it out how pretty early (don't worry @crimsonwerewolfyesteryear, we already knew all these techniques).

That's great, but no comment on giving the same two keys almost every win?
