Yeah, seems I could usually win one Steam key a day and if I remember only once was it a key that had been activated so it is not a scam.
Just play the challenge at least once a day until you succeed and you are likely to get a valid key for a game before long.

its random some keys are known to have dupes more than others though,what games were they

Usually when this happens, you actually receive the key in the Gameplay Giveaway section of your library. If you see Error notice from the king, most of the time you don't get anything.

Looks like someone got the key off your hands. You can use steamdb browser extension to find out (see below), I recommend it because it only loads on steam site so it doesn't spend unnecessary resources and provides you with many more good insights. Best to find out what it is in case you want to keep the DLC for later or just create a giveaway (and get yourself -2 malus for 24h ).
