I don't know guys, the game is still kinda broken here. A lot of time I don't get a message at the end of the challenges. It's possible though that only the "This time you didn't win" message is missing considering the frequency of the problem.

Used 200 Galasilver to remove 4 malus, the challenge started and it said I didn't have enough Galacredits to play. Now I lost 200 Galacredits.
That sucks. You probably only had 200 total and since the game allows you to spend all your galasilver to buy time, when you started the actual gameplay part you didn't have enough to pay for participation and it threw you out.

Hi all.
And thank you for playing.

From 8 of March 2021 we are going to introduce a new algorithm for dynamic malus system.

This is a decision that tends both to distribute prizes among the widest possible audience of players and to cope with Steam keys scarcity.

Malus values stated in the rules are the defaults and will be reset at each key refill.
Then, when keys are distributed and the quantity lowers under certain tresholds, values will raise slowly one or two seconds at time.

To compensate, and reward more the users performing actions on indiegala platform, malus removal seconds per action ( default starts at 1 ) will be raised as well.

We also announce you that we are completely revisiting the main game and will reboot it in a new, dynamic "survival" fashion. Very different from the RPG-like style that it has now.

Best!

Could you clarify that point? By "performing actions on indiegala platform" do you mean buying games and bundles or something else as well?
Also, the Rules thread and in-game instructions say that receiving positive feedback for giveaways removes 1 second of malus for 24 hours, but that hasn't worked for several months now - is that feature removed or is it broken and going to be fixed?

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Cheers!

Yeah that's what happened. It was my fault tbh for trying to play for free lol

does this mean that malus won't reset every 24 hours? or simply that it will reset every 24 hours, but eventually the time penalty for one key won will be 5 seconds instead of 4, and then 6 seconds and so on when the key stock drops below eg. 35 % reserve or something like that? This seems like a very fair idea, as long as the malus still resets every 24 hours.

It's also great to hear the words "each key refill" because it seems you plan to continue with the challenges. Thank you for that, I like some of the old or even removed from Steam games that you provided, some of them are real gems. Thanks for all the hard work you do for the community

You also mentioned some kind of subscription service a while ago, any news on that?

I got 6s malus for every key won today, so i think this answers your question.
no, I'm asking if the malus will still get reset every 24 hours, guess we will find out soon enough
EDIT: for anybody wondering, making a purchase on the store resets the malus to 4 secs per win
EDIT2: yes, malus does get reset every 24 hours

I assume the malus still resets every 24 hours, it's just that their key supply as they run out, will increase the malus penality from 4, to 5 and 6 until the next key refill.

If we get a 6 malus penalty now, this changes things a bit. Trees will still be normal at 60, then bushes will require 54 which isn't extremely difficult. Rocks however will require a near pixel perfect performance, so chance are that most won't be able to do it anymore, meaning we can get a 3rd win on watering at 48 seconds. Watering can be completed with a pixel perfect performance at about 44, MAYBE 43, so 48 seconds gives us plenty of time if one does it properly. This leaves us with 42 seconds after 3 wins, and i can see either Hoeing or Watering to be the safest bets, using 100 to 150 silver for extra time for a 4th and final win. Archers i guess is also possible, but it's a lot more RNG and i wouldn't bank on it.

At 5 malus, i'd reckon if one can do rocks at 50 seconds, leaving watering at 45 which is possible but leaves little room for error (maybe using 50 silver for a safer bet). Meaning you will need to use 150 to 200 silver to be at 43-44 seconds on Hoeing to get a 5th win, which is possible to do.
