Yes, #5 puzzled me too, but I was trying to find who debuted in this one before I thought to took a different angle.

Wasn't just you, the hint was worded oddly, either intentionally or just by coincidence. Still my mistake for not considering the other angle.

Without Google I'd probably know 0 out of 10 xD. Okay.. 1 out of 10. I didn't even knew who Tony Stark was

No offense, but I can't say I see how "Black Widow Movie Debut" is a weird wording.
I guess it could be slightly rephrased to something along the lines of "Black Widow first appearance", but in essence, it's pretty much the exact same; "[character name] Movie Debut"

I know some of them by hearsay, but that half knowledge would have gained me a mere 60 points for the Cumberbatch question

Yeah I sometimes get that feeling too. I keep meaning to make a recording and every single time I forget because I'm too busy investigating hints.

Well as you might know there is a Black Widow movie, so the hint kind of draws you towards that. Had it been appearance, then it wouldn't have been so ambiguous. Well, still my fault for not looking into, which movie she appeared first, or rather forgetting that Iron Man 2, was before Avengers.

It's a quiz... the hints are not answers... there have been way more complicated or "weird" phrasings of hints than this one... and that's good

Not gonna argue against you on that PoV, but there have been similar hints in the past. The character mentioned (not just Marvel) may well debut before getting a titular role.

Nothing really to argue about, I don't think the hint was bad. It was deceptive in a nice way, I'm not even disappointed that I got it wrong. It's more me explaining my reasoning why I got it wrong.

Interestingly that would be the only question I knew the answer without Google, because I saw Sherlock on TV.

Quite a few Movie trivias latelly. Not my strong point.

That piece of trivia was actually logged in memory, as a friend of mine half considered not bothering watching Iron Man 2, due to (according to him) the only notable thing about the movie was the introduction of Black Widow.
So... yeah. Didn't need to google that one.

Without hints (and without a time-pressure), I would have been able to answer questions 5, 7 and 8 correctly, with probably a 50/50 chance on Q1
