Yeah, I kind of wonder too. It's basically usually disqualified for the people who do this stuff to be allowed to participate.

Is 490 the correct amount of points for 1 question wrong, or did some of those falsely marked wrong because the quiz didn't register it?
If you failed the 6th like me, it's correct (550-60)

I could've been the 19th winner if I hadn't been an idiot in the Ratatouille question. 😭
You and me both....
"Slow reader"-issue strikes again (in my case); answered wrong due to not having enough time to read the question.
It was only after the quiz I managed to read that the question didn't ask what the protagonist of the movie of the same name was, but where the dish was from.

Even if you got the first question about avocado wrong, I think it mentions after about chocolate so should get the chocolate one right anyway(or if it didn't, it'd be obvious due to it not being the answer on the which is toxic one)

But yeah, I think the rat illness one was the 6th I believe, so 490 would suggest the others were visual bugs. Or if it was 5th then it was the 5th and I just didn't have it register mine on the first.

Damn there goes my perfect streak yet again! :(
#3 was a bit of a bummer, it really should've specified domesticated rats.
#6 I completely misjudged the hint because google suggested I might mean "common respiratory rate" so I looked up rat's respiratory rate of 85 breaths per minute.
#9 I completely forgot to read up on varieties of markings and only wrote down body and coat types of which there was only Rex.

Anyway, congrats to winners!

Maybe he's participating to make sure that the quizes work correctly(bugs aside of course, he has no way to fix those).
That is indeed my intention, since in the large scheme of things 1 extra winner or one in minus should be marginal most of the time. I am usually testing it on various devices, normally Chrome or older iOS phones, but today while I was watching 1917 in cinema I used an Android on my data plan and solved it from my memory, without any visual bugs for me (other than the 0 answers). Great movie btw.

If it would help, I could stop participating, but, I would miss out on the fun of playing alongside everyone. I am seriously considering opening up an official IndieGala twitch/streaming account and host Jackbox Partypack streams, with prizes and such...there are plenty of ideas I would like to do, but so little time, so little energy...

Apologies for the rather convoluted and, at times confusing questions, it is the final quiz before the reset after all, it was meant to be slightly harder, some hints were also meant to be a bit more tricky too, like the previous quiz which had top 3 mountains, but just the top 2 were required (either way the answer was there).

tAKa you give me too much credit, I don't think I would've thought about such clever hints, but regarding the other hints: as far as I could find most rats shouldn't be severely affected by chocolate, but mice would.

TTRM I did know/read that some rats have shorter average lifespans vs others, but I didn't quite differentiate them, since some of the sources I found weren't quite exact either about which kind of rat, they were quite broad, my general conclusion was that rats, as a whole entity, had an average lifespan of 2-3, keeping in mind some could live up to 1 year and others up to 4 (between two extremes, I considered the truth should be somewhere in the middle). The real question we should be asking here is: What makes good rat? Either way, what is done is done, will try being more careful in the future.

But yeah, apologies if indeed I might have mis-formulated something, or terms were accidentally vague, poorly worded, or even answers were misinterpretable, and these factors resulted in a ruined day/night for some of you, in frustration or even just a mild annoyance. As much as I would enjoy to write another scientific paper (humble brag) with all the sources, quotes etc. , there is so much I can cover in a set amount of time, and, sure, sometimes I bite more than I can chew, but, in the end, I'm only human, after all. But we should not despair, a new quiz brings everyone new chances to do things differently, for better or worse.

All in all, we are grateful for all of your feedback, keep up the good work!

Visual bug on the 1st question, visual only though.

the 7th hint was evil, thought it was related to alcohol intoxication. Though maybe only someone who knows German will think that.
