Living in the US I'm so used to miles...
And a mis-click on #9.
Nobody to blame but myself...
(facepalm)
Hectare was the tricky one, since despite being a metric measure, one doesn't really use it that often (as far as I know) unless in agriculture or when discussing about landmasses. I also combined the us and uk use of meter/metre, maybe adding to the confusion.

yeah, even in this situation cyan, magenta, yellow, would have been primaries, so blue would have been a secondary. if we were to refer to the RGB, Blue would have been primary, the rest ( cyan, magenta, yellow), secondary. So either way you take it, it should have been Blue the odd one, right?
I prepared too much for #2 so when #9 came up, despite the hint practically screaming RGB at me, I confidently picked Magenta since it was the only non-spectral color.

I swear, these hints are getting more and more useless. My notes weren't of any use at all.

TTRM's notes said:
1: Unpleasant vapour or smell
Perfume (Seriously, it makes me puke)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2: Colors of the spectrum
Gray, gray, gray, gray, gray, gray, gray (waddya mean I'm colorblind?)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3: It has no shell or hard parts
Slug (Nice and squishy....)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4: NOT a citrus fruit
Trebuchet (Prove me wrong. ;p )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5: Asian human-powered transport
Jet engine (All that kung pao gives 'em more than enough gas...)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6: NOT a mammal
The Hope Diamond (I can prove to you that this one ain't a mammal. Here, have a look...)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7: sleeveless undergarment for the ladies
Garter (Never saw garters with sleeves before)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8: MUST be part of the metric system
The century has just entered a new decade (Resist all you want, but metrics are the future. ^^ )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9: Primary Spectrum Colors
Black, gray, gray, gray, gray, gray, white (There, happy now? I added 2 more, just to prove I'm not colorblind.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10: NOT A PRIME NUMBER
Spiderlegs (Again.... prove me wrong.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely you can all agree that none of these are wrong, as far as the hints are concerned, right?
In all seriousness though: a full 10/10 today ^^

8's hint was a bit misleading, rather than how most of the questions directed to the right answer (the odd one), this one directed to the non-odd answers. It wasn't intentional to trick you like that, but I guess my own mind got tricked with the whole find the "wrong answer in the right sequence" or something like that
I guess you could say this question fits today's theme perfectly then, as it's the odd one out of the odd ones out. ;p

The only one I got wrong, despite clearly seeing that the MILE didn't belong (purposely clicked "millimeter"). Stupid, aye, yet through many previous iterations (on those occasions when I had ideas of my own about the correct answer, which diverged from what the hint was suggesting) I had been conditioned to ALWAYS trust and follow the hint. This is a first occurrence of such underhanded backstab, a treacherous breach of trust. I hope you now feel like a master ringing a bell to summon a dog to be fed every day for a 1000 days, and then ringing it for the 1001st time and (for a change) beating the mutt senseless with a nightstick. :devilish: Good job.

There are 2 reasons why I said this question was mean. First, the answers are: distance/distance/distance/area, so if you don't have the hint, hectares, is the most logical answer. The other reason is, technically speaking hectares also don't belong to the metric system, however it's use is accepted.

9, well, I tried clarifying in the question itself that I tried referring to the light spectrum, while being fairly certain that there can be different primary colors depending on what you choose, that is why I also introduced RGB in the question, but, the mental gymnastics are a bit overwhelming at this point. Sorry.
Well after looking at the screenshots, the answer spread for this question was 35/29/36/17. To get a spread like that, the majority of the participants had to be guessing. The hint would have probably been a better question, then the one used.

The general idea isn't bad, but the execution was rather bad. The 10 seconds don't give a lot of time for contemplation, so you have to keep the list as simple as possible, probably around the level of question 7.
Another thing that could be done, give the possible answers as hints, and leave it to the users to figure out the relationships, for example, for question 1 the hint would have been: fibula, miasma, pattella, tibia. Though depending on the possibilities, you still might want to add some context to the hints.

Hope this gives you some inspiration, for future improvements.

Good suggestion. That way people will have to research all the possible hints (which might also mean more work for the people // so I guess you know who you can thank :p ) Another intention for that 8th question was to use Celsius, but changed my mind with using the meter/metre. However, if I were to build on that & make a similar question using your suggestion I could've done something along the lines of:

Hint: Hectare, Mile, Nano-meter, Celsius //which also coincides to the answers, as suggested

Question 1: Which is NOT a metric unit of measure?
Question 2: Which unit is used for agricultural surface measurements?
Question 3: Temperature //for simple word associations
Question 4: It was invented by a Swedish Astronomer
Question 5: It is commonly used in nanotechnology, the building of extremely small machines.

One, more or all of the questions to be included in the quiz/quizzes.

And here you go, half a quiz using the same 1 set of hints.

Glad to see that I could inspire some new ideas :).
As far as the 8th question goes, it's just too bad that you settled on hectares. There were so many fun derived units that could have been used. My persona favorite from that bunch would be siemens:D.

As far as my suggestions about the hints goes, remember that, depending on the list, you might need to provide some context for them. Using the 9th question as an example: [Blue, Yellow, Magenta, Cyan], might be too little to go on, so you could do something like this: RGB: Blue, Yellow, Magenta, Cyan.

Another thing you could do with the hints for this type of quiz, you can provide the wrong answers in the hints. For example, the hint could be: kiwi, eagle, ostrich, takahe. A simple version of the question could be: "Bird that can fly?", and the possible answers being: takahe, kiwi, pigeon, ostrich. From the hint you would have gotten the answers that can't be correct, but not the correct ones. A bit mean, but also something to consider.

Another thing about the approach is that people can look up what the possible answers represent, take question 6, I had no idea what a porpoise is, while I knew that shark was probably the correct answer, still made me doubt it for a bit.

And something about a different part of the quiz. You might want to add one of those "Did you know?" prompts before the first question. The contents could be something like this: "The theme of today's quiz is: .... Goodluck to the participants.". It might be of some use for the cases that the quiz doesn't load fast enough.

I too think it's a typo. Or at least I hope it is, otherwise I've got no idea what the question might be... 😅
Let's hope so.
So far it's going rather well. Only having trouble with the 7th and 8th hints. For the 7th one I'm not sure of the criterion. For the 8th one, it's either extremely easy or I can't find the proper meaning of one word.

PS: While relatively fun, I have a slight wish to kick myself for suggesting this.

Agree on 7 and 8.
Though my son said that for 7 it's most likely the very obvious one that "sticks out". ;)
But then again - it might be "not all nouns", or something that scientific-related...

For me 6 is the hardest so far - either I'm looking in the wrong places or something... Whatever I can find / think of - either they all fit or more than 1 don't fit the criteria... Maybe I'm just overthinking it and it's something blatantly obvious?

Some of them are pretty obvious, some only seem obvious at first glance. But diving deeper only raises more questions. I'm making a wild guess: number of winners will fall below 10 today.

Edit: I was neither right nor completely wrong.
