yeah, even in this situation cyan, magenta, yellow, would have been primaries, so blue would have been a secondary. if we were to refer to the RGB, Blue would have been primary, the rest ( cyan, magenta, yellow), secondary. So either way you take it, it should have been Blue the odd one, right?![]()

Probably nothing, but that helped me. We weren't supposed to read the questions, anywayCMYK is not about color spectrum it's for ink. So I'm not sure what that supposed to clarify.
Hectare was the tricky one, since despite being a metric measure, one doesn't really use it that often (as far as I know) unless in agriculture or when discussing about landmasses. I also combined the us and uk use of meter/metre, maybe adding to the confusion.Living in the US I'm so used to miles...
And a mis-click on #9.
Nobody to blame but myself...
(facepalm)
I prepared too much for #2 so when #9 came up, despite the hint practically screaming RGB at me, I confidently picked Magenta since it was the only non-spectral color.
Surely you can all agree that none of these are wrong, as far as the hints are concerned, right?TTRM's notes said:1: Unpleasant vapour or smell
Perfume (Seriously, it makes me puke)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2: Colors of the spectrum
Gray, gray, gray, gray, gray, gray, gray (waddya mean I'm colorblind?)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3: It has no shell or hard parts
Slug (Nice and squishy....)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4: NOT a citrus fruit
Trebuchet (Prove me wrong. ;p )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5: Asian human-powered transport
Jet engine (All that kung pao gives 'em more than enough gas...)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6: NOT a mammal
The Hope Diamond (I can prove to you that this one ain't a mammal. Here, have a look...)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7: sleeveless undergarment for the ladies
Garter (Never saw garters with sleeves before)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8: MUST be part of the metric system
The century has just entered a new decade (Resist all you want, but metrics are the future. ^^ )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9: Primary Spectrum Colors
Black, gray, gray, gray, gray, gray, white (There, happy now? I added 2 more, just to prove I'm not colorblind.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10: NOT A PRIME NUMBER
Spiderlegs (Again.... prove me wrong.)

I guess you could say this question fits today's theme perfectly then, as it's the odd one out of the odd ones out. ;p8's hint was a bit misleading, rather than how most of the questions directed to the right answer (the odd one), this one directed to the non-odd answers. It wasn't intentional to trick you like that, but I guess my own mind got tricked with the whole find the "wrong answer in the right sequence" or something like that

But one day our intuition will be right and then we'll.. most likely be too old to remember any of this.Stupid, aye, yet through many previous iterations (on those occasions when I had ideas of my own about the correct answer, which diverged from what the hint was suggesting) I had been conditioned to ALWAYS trust and follow the hint.
There are 2 reasons why I said this question was mean. First, the answers are: distance/distance/distance/area, so if you don't have the hint, hectares, is the most logical answer. The other reason is, technically speaking hectares also don't belong to the metric system, however it's use is accepted.8's hint was a bit misleading, rather than how most of the questions directed to the right answer (the odd one), this one directed to the non-odd answers. Well after looking at the screenshots, the answer spread for this question was 35/29/36/17. To get a spread like that, the majority of the participants had to be guessing. The hint would have probably been a better question, then the one used.9, well, I tried clarifying in the question itself that I tried referring to the light spectrum, while being fairly certain that there can be different primary colors depending on what you choose, that is why I also introduced RGB in the question, but, the mental gymnastics are a bit overwhelming at this point. Sorry.

The general idea isn't bad, but the execution was rather bad. The 10 seconds don't give a lot of time for contemplation, so you have to keep the list as simple as possible, probably around the level of question 7.
Another thing that could be done, give the possible answers as hints, and leave it to the users to figure out the relationships, for example, for question 1 the hint would have been: fibula, miasma, pattella, tibia. Though depending on the possibilities, you still might want to add some context to the hints.
Hope this gives you some inspiration, for future improvements.
Glad to see that I could inspire some new ideasGood suggestion. That way people will have to research all the possible hints (which might also mean more work for the people // so I guess you know who you can thank) Another intention for that 8th question was to use Celsius, but changed my mind with using the meter/metre. However, if I were to build on that & make a similar question using your suggestion I could've done something along the lines of:
Hint #2 - I think there's a typo:
DW instead of DE?
Or is it suppose to be like this?
Let's hope so.I too think it's a typo. Or at least I hope it is, otherwise I've got no idea what the question might be...![]()
So far it's going rather well. Only having trouble with the 7th and 8th hints. For the 7th one I'm not sure of the criterion. For the 8th one, it's either extremely easy or I can't find the proper meaning of one word.
