Messed up on #9 - it was just too long to read them all and react, I was too slow.
Otherwise - interesting quiz, thank you.

P.S. As having background in classical music and a former Russian/Ukrainian heritage - I was most impressed with both Russian and Ukrainian contestants. Though Ukrainian more.
I liked the Ukranian band too, it was more representive of their folklore then other bands with a modern twist.

Long questions and a single pseudo-hint for the entire quiz = Kryptonite for slow readers

I believe a few of us have uttered disdain for such setups in the past. Oscar-quiz could be taken as one example.

And what the heck was that second question??
Never heard of "The Story of Fire Saga", nor is it mentioned anywhere on the wp-page for this year's Eurovision contest . (A quick google reveals it's a movie about yesteryear's ESC, which doesn't really relate at all to a quiz about specifically THIS year's ESC.)
Question 4: Not everyone knows what "The Big 5" means. It's easy to assume it'd be the "top 5 placings" for the contest, and not a geography/history-related question.
As an example: If I created a quiz about dinner (no hints, because... why not?), then asked "Which one of these is NOT one of the 4 great ones used in broth: Carrots, celery, potatoes, onions", what would you think of the question overall (regardless of which answer is correct (potatoes))?
This quiz was a swing and a miss.
Luck would have it that I hit 50% correct on a 25% chance. (And there goes yet another shot at a perfect streak.... will I ever attain it?)
Question 6 had my eyes stumbling between "(!careful!)" and the poorly written 3rd answer "both (Az & Al)", as time allotted gives no opportunity to take it in and actually decipher at a split second exactly what one is reading. (Again, speaking for some of us slow readers here.)
The only questions I personally was able to ask without guessing, were the third and the final ones.

Initial reaction to the hints, preceding the quiz going live: "Wow.... this is a lazy hint-setup. Almost reminds me a bit of the quiz from 145 rounds ago, where all the hints were simply [OSCAR 2020 WINNERS]...."

Especially if you know the original - you have to have talent to turn it into what they did. Most impressive.
And it takes big balls to sing like that on the big stage too.
I didn't understand a word of what they sang :ROFLMAO: i can talk about the music, I enjoyed how traditional it was. They was she sings made me remind a trio mandili from georgia, I randomly found one day on youtube and I loved.

Well, I was talking about the music - not the words. And tbh, I had hard time understanding them there sometimes even though I know Ukrainian pretty well; but that's a problem with a lot of songs/singers no matter the language (at least for me).
And yes, it's traditional - original is very old, very down-to-earth - but with such a twist!

P.S. This way of singing (called White Voice) is actually a tradition for a lot of folk music across many regions, not just Ukraine or Georgia.

For me music is more important then words. A good lyrics is ok but not necessary for me. I saw many bands in Eurovision singing in english and I think they should sing in their language to represent more their land.
Thanks for explaning, I didn't know it was called white noise, usually I refer to it for the noise of electricity. I called more polyphonic music, I like to explore new kind of music like that.
