Do mods even have any power on this site? Or are they just the eyes and ears of support? Why cant the mods just handle the forums and giveaways sections, and then let support handle the rest. It would be easier for both the mods and support.

Mods can remove giveaways by game and ban games by steam ID ... That is all they can do. so if you mistakenly put up a game mods can't remove it unless they remove all the games with same name. And the people who get away with it have hacks that let them post banned games. Sooo Technically we are just eyes and ears for support.

Can't the devs fix this ? It should be easy to add extra checks to filter out scammers.
If this carries on people might stop creating legit giveaways.

I think any steam key worth a 100 bucks or more should require indiegala to check with the dev that it is a legit key given away before allowing the giveaway to be created and perma ban the user if it turns out to not be legit.

This guy has the free Shadowrun Returns Deluxe from Humble Bundle posted as the Deluxe Upgrade DLC which is worth more points and IC coins.


And here are some posted that are getting nearly three times more points than the others posted when the link takes you to the main Steam store page.

Why Trolley Gold should be prohibited? AFAIR it had been given away for free but at Indiegala, and such games are allowed.
And it's exactly the reason why it's guaranteed btw - the key is from IG and wasn't generated (uncovered) yet.
