Is there any way to check stats of the user I've already blacklisted? I am 5 level and have all 25 slots filled, and there is so many new candidates... I think I could remove some older ones (or not) but I only see their username and the only option seems to be a removal.
you mean you want to check the positive/negative feedback of a banned user? if that's what you want, the good news is yes, completely possible, the bad news is it's inconvenient and requires digging through "source code"
EDIT: I made a video guide, I'm uploading it and will share the link here ->(video did not capture the context menu step, see below) (click to enlarge video)
The step that the video did not capture for whatever reason is: right click on the big X (remove button) and in the menu select inspect element

PS: kindly please ignore the piano, I did not know how to censure my email address, so I put a piano over it in the video editor

How do you find a user's trade page URL so you can blacklist them? I can't find a link to Velefant's page.
Freakill posted the link https://www.indiegala.com/trades/user/7ce16570fae411e58f8d1f1fa8bcdd0c
if you want to find out the URL and they never won your giveaway in the past, it involves a lot of extra steps Report Giveaways Here

@freakill if you used another method of getting Velefants' and Alexis Ramirez's profile URL, could you share with us please? The method I described in my post is awful, but it's the only thing I'm aware of

we have some gutsy user here again, creating a giveaway for game for 192 iS and saying the description it's a different game inside

here's the system abuser, level 4 after 6 giveaways? yeah, legit
(oh, and the connected Steam profile has around 100 games, and every. single. one. was given away for free at some point. Please make your own conclusion about what that means and why the user is interested in ascending levels fast)

I think in the long run the only way to stop the scammers is to require that customers make periodic purchases of a certain amount in the IG store with real names and money accounts, or else be suspended from participating in giveaways until then. That would make it much harder for scammers to maintain multiple accounts and fake different identifications and bank info on each account. Either that or you gradually lose XP over time so scammers can't have 50 accounts raking it in at level 7 for the next 10 years, and you have a chance to catch them giving away more fake stuff. Any other suggestions?

I've got no problem with people participating at level 0 despite being unable to give back, but the higher levels are there for a reason and these parasites are just ruining the whole point, I've hardly won anything but throwaway garbage since I started playing months ago.

Does anybody who is "old" enough (e.i. been here for a while) remember if the person who was a "community giveaway moderator" was effective? Were there less dishonest GAs then?
I don't know who the community moderator was (or if it was someone on Indiegala staff that did it previously but is no longer with them). Back then I didn't actually use the forums that often. However, I can tell you they actively followed all the usual suspects for giveaways and most game giveaways were canceled relatively immediately.

If I recall correctly, giveaways were canceled and marked in a way that it was obviously no longer valid. It seems now that it just doesn't let you enter, but it's still listed. I feel as though they should be removed from the list because the spammers now make pages upon pages of giveaways, but not much you can do.

There was a guy and he certainly did stuff, but I can't remember his name nor exactly what he did but I do recall it was... maybe not entirely effective, but it was better than whatever is happening now.

carlosgomez93200 - https://www.indiegala.com/trades/user/122d5cd15b5a11e7a16c6f579f9e6baa (this one's forum profile is not available anymore, so hopefully it means they got banned)
A fresh batch from carlosgomez93200, looks like not having a working forum profile doesn't mean they're banned :(

I'm thinking that maybe there should be a shadow banning system implemented so users don't realize they're banned, but they'll never get to win any giveaways even if it seems like they're able to purchase tickets?
I'd prefer to just have a normal working moderation of giveaways with clear rules and bad actors getting banned.

Puts tinfoil hat on.
And how do you know that there isn't some shadow ban system in place? When was the last time you won? :devilish:
Tinfoil hat off.

Seriously though, the other day I finally won a giveaway after 4 months of no wins and it was starting to feel like there's more than bad luck going on :p

Wow some of these scammers are so stupid about covering their tracks, it's really no wonder this is their only way of getting ahead in life. I dunno, maybe we should just let them get to level 20 for free out of pity. Hey Carlos, I'll give you Vaccine Hunter for free if you go away.

Edit: They should just add a report button to the giveaways so you can identify it to the staff right away.

I'd just like to point out that I can't find VEGA conflict cavalier cutter pack as sold anywhere else except Steam itself. As far as I'm aware, there is no way to purchase a key through Steam. And yet, when you check this guy's profile https://www.indiegala.com/trades/user/122d5cd15b5a11e7a16c6f579f9e6baa he is level 6, created 30 giveaways, ALL feedback is positive when we know about at least 5 giveaways by him for the same pack as now, so NO WAY to have been real. How are they cultivating such a huge web of alt accounts that they can enter + win + leave positive feedback so often? Yet people here get suspended for dynamic IP, a common practice with many ISP.

This is so blaringly obvious it's a scam, they're not even trying to hide it. And the worst thing is, they are not even trying and yet it's still working and most of the time they get their way.

In fact given that there are no keys actually sold for these Vega Conflict packs, IndieGala should please ban everyone who's won one of these things and given positive feedback for a non-existent key.

Honestly I think they need to require periodic purchases and/or valid financial information for anyone who wants to participate in giveaways above level 0. They could even just do a $0.01 credit card charge and refund to verify that it's a valid bank account owned by (probably) a real human being. I'm not giving away any more big titles other than the clutter of sales bonuses I've accumulated until I see that the scammers are being dealt with effectively, this is disgusting.
