Shame on me.I can confirm for myselfyes, Jer7cho you remember it correctly, I mentioned it somewhere about 5 months ago, so very good memory from you
while I agree with this to an extent, most of the cheating we see are ridiculously expensive DLCs for really obscure games or software (facerig, those VEGA whatever-it-was) so not sure how popular that is.regarding cheaters
the main purpose of the giveaways section is to attract visitors (so called potential buyers), a cheater can have some utility for indiegala, putting a fake giveaway about about a well demanded game can attract more visitors...as soon as cheaters don't try to steal money from the site, they're not a big threat...for indiegala
I suspect, all givaways of HUMANKIND to be scumming.
Examples:
And a lot of ended giveaways.
They are reffering rather expensive game PRE-ORDER: Save 17% on HUMANKIND™ on Steam
Instead of FREE BETA HUMANKIND™ - Closed Beta on Steam.
The only correct giveaway of BETA, I've found atm: https://www.indiegala.com/giveaways/card/humankind-closed-beta/718292
PPL will waste 48 IS, instead 1 IS. And authors of giveways will get a lot of EXP by deceiving
FYI

It seems to me, my previouse post was uselessYeah, there is a Perfect Storm coming from Humankind. I alerted Cara Paula. Hope something happens to get the cheaters out of the system.
The correct giveaway was from MrNobody, go figure.![]()
This kind of traffic in my thinking will only attract more abusers rather than actual business to indiegala. Very unfortunate scenario that we are getting more and more cheaters with what is going on and it seems to be getting worse..regarding cheaters

Things are really getting out of hand here.. So much for cheat-leveling..5 giveaways for overcooked 2 with no code as already said by the user who is doing the giveaway.
I second your words. Cheaters are spoiling the system and something must have enticed them doing so. Thus moving forward should we only do cheap giveaways while watching the cheaters beat a broken system? This is.. I'm loss for words...while I agree with this to an extent, most of the cheating we see are ridiculously expensive DLCs for really obscure games or software (facerig, those VEGA whatever-it-was) so not sure how popular that is.
Also consider: the cheaters MUST create those fake giveaways for low-demand games, MUST. If they did it for a popular expensive game (like the Deluxe edition of Assassin's creed or whatever) they would get hundreds, if not thousands of entries. For them, the less popular the game/DLC is, the higher chance of successful cheating. I really don't think Indiegala would be harmed if they stepped on the cheaters toes.
In fact, I argue the opposite: if the cheaters were banned, more people would create "nice" giveaways and attract more visitors. Most of the stuff now is from the challenges and it will stay that way. I personally would NOT giveaway something expensive here, because it seems there are a lot of cheaters with numerous accounts and the last thing I want is for one of them to win something expensive and then sell it or whatever. And it has already happened to me that 3 people who are known abusers here won something from me, simply because the Blacklist function has limited slots and can't possibly contain all cheaters.
He already said like he doesn't care.. 20is recovered in 2 hours.. I bet so long as he gets a positive review from 2 out of those 5 he will continue the same stunt in future.. The game of catch me if you can..
Look at the level of people that show up.
IndieGala should release the ADMIN functions, at least for you Well-Know Member. It would help to combat this type of action. He already said like he doesn't care.. 20is recovered in 2 hours.. Exactly.. I totally agree with you that we should have community admin/moderators. I'm have also grown very weary of such abusers.. I hate how on AWA the very high up level people can nuke posts if they are deemed inappropriate and giving a -10 ARP to the poster but it effectively deters rubbish.. As ARP is so hard to earn there..IndieGala should release the ADMIN functions, at least for you Well-Know Member. It would help to combat this type of action.

Thus in my sense indiegala could allow some form of authority to those who had been adhering to the proper giveaway and has brought themselves to certain level say 5, have an account of more than say 60 days and maybe even having a Well-Known Member status on forum. This totally makes grinding for level for the giveaways some worthwhile and I believe not many (including myself) have reached that kind of status mentioned above. And of those who had achieved the 3 requirements, I believe they also want a just and fair system free (in all possibility) from scammers and abusers.. Even if indiegala didn't give them anything extra other than some form of authority
In my sense people who doesn't care if others end up wasting their time winning fake giveaways should be tied to a beanstalk stake and have the insanely accurate archers shoot them continuously from all 8 directions for 80 days..![]()
