For anyone wondering where the GA rules are, they are in two places. Neither of those places are in a random user's imagination.
The first is here:
Giveaways — IndieGala help & documentation portal 1.2 documentation
The second is when you create a GA by going to
Login or register | Indiegala and selecting Giveaways. I can't link directly to this.
The main rule that [MZK]Lightning gets wrong is that free Steam games are not allowed to be listed. Free includes a lot of things here, like unreleased, formerly paid, removed from sale and delisted. Delisted games not being able to be listed. If games with no price were not allowed to be listed it would be simple to not allow GAs for them to be created in the first place. Some guaranteed keys from IG fall into this category.
The evidence they present as this being a rule is from screenshots of email/Discord conversations. In one, they ask about what a "Well-known member" is, and ask if free games are allowed. Rather than get a yes/no or allowed/not allowed answer, the answer they get is that the winner can leave whatever feedback they like. Well, yes, obviously, feedback is the sole responsibility of the feedback giver, and does not need to be accurate.
The second is them asking if free games are allowed, and they don't even get an answer to this question at all. All they get is an admission that they do not know the rules, and will find out and get back to them. Do they ever get back to them? Do they ever even answer any more of their dumb questions at all, ever? No.
So based on this half assed information, [MZK]Lightning has been spending more than a year making "reports" that are completely ignored. They also ignore GOG keys, which are probably against the rules? Debatable. They also at one point tried to encourage people to leave negative feedback on guaranteed GAs, which is not possible. This is the level of intellect we are dealing with here.
Then you have Maharid. Someone that refuses to make GAs, supposedly because they don't like that 80+ silver GAs exist. Repeatedly making mistakes about GOG expiry dates. Entering GAs then getting mad they are expired, and trying to extort someone that doesn't even read the forums for extra keys, and refusing to follow GOG or AWA releases, then getting mad when they get one of those. Also not understanding the difference between an activation message and a separate app ID beta.
