The same thing happened to me a while ago :(
Try to email indiegala support and tell them to remove the giveaways
In my case they didn't respond, but maybe they'll respond to you

As I said before I am very sorry for the sh*t I created, I didn't expect that to work. And I actually never read that steam profile has to be public, i clicked on connect with steam and it easily worked without saying you have to be public. I can of course change this but I don't want my giveaways to happen ._.

I regret that I created these two stupid giveaway to test if something ridiculous like this is possible. I didn't want the xp, I didn't want the coins or anything at all I only was curious. And now I messed giveaways up. I had 2 normal giveaways with even positive feedback and now I created evilness : (. Is there really no way to delete giveaways?

The only way to delete giveaways is asking support

Hello, I had a key that I received via a give away from a different site. When I attempted to redeem it it was for a game I already had, so I created a giveaway for it here. When someone had won it, I received a "thumbs down" stating that it had already been redeemed. Is there something I should've done differently? Is there a way to varify if a key is valid without attempting to redeem it? Thanks.

As far as I am aware, there is no way to test if the key works before doing a giveaway. Thats one of the reasons why I have been hesitant to create giveaways with some of the keys I have, because I have keys from giveaways from years ago, they may have already been canceled. Unlikely, but it has happened before.

True, there isn't a way to tell if the code has been redeemed previously. Also making a giveaway on Indiegala, while using a key from a giveaway (or in just in general given for free on another website) is not allowed on the Indiegala giveaways. So the key that you got from a giveaway on another site, which you used to create a giveaway here, was against the rules. The purpose of this specific forum is to report giveaways that are breaking the rules.

I believe you are misinterpreting the rules a bit. There was a lenty discussion about that and it is generally agreed that that rule is for active giveaways. (You can't create a giveaway for a game that is being currently given away on another site. But lets say it was half a year ago, then it is fine as long as it is not free anymore, it is your key after all.) Because many great games were given away before and despite that not everyone has those games. Not allowing giveaways for those games just wont do because right now only way you can get them is to buy them. Not to mention, Indiegala or anyone else for that matter, has no way of determining where the key has come from, so we have no way of knowing if the key is from a giveaway or a bought key.

I am on the safe side of things either way, I haven't been able to giveaway keys that was given away before because I can't be sure if they still work or not. But I still want to have a chance to get those games that was given away before, some of those giveaway keys that I missed still hount me to this day.

Yeah, these were just some spare keys that I've had for a while and didn't want them to go to waste. I didn't have nefarious intentions or anything, lol.

BaldManFromBlizzard, I am sorry for your negative experience with that giveaway. Contact me on steam, if you wish, and after a brief check that this is actually you, I will offer you another steam key of an equivalent price range.
