Search results say there's 123 giveaways of this free game posted right now. Some are duplicates posted by the same user.

So apparently he has changed his nickname and removed his picture, proabably completly aware of this discuassion here. Not sure if retroactivly the Winner names change as well in the old links but probably he have given them lame generic names as well.

Don't think it was a good idea to split the Name from the linked steam account in the resent update.

three giveaways for a FREE-to-play game on Steam

Interesting note: on the giveaways, his ID shows up as "longhorn161" but when you go to his user page, it's "Ben csgobounty.com csgoatse.com".
First question this begs is....is this another example of someone having multiple accounts linked to the same SteamID?

Does a user changing his/her ID affect the ability of our blacklist to exclude him from giveaways? Note, that this question may have only become even possible since IG did the weird thing a couple of months ago allowing users to change their ID willy-nilly

How does this happen? I thought Humble enforced a minimum SteamID level requirement to participate in their giveaways.

I think no. Every Lvl 0. Can grab a game.

5x the same giveaways, 5x CAPS and wait and all registered 28 Dec 2017... coincidence? Definitvly no.

EDIT: Hes litarally spraying giveaways all ofter the place with all his accounts, I wonder if they are real. Or if there is the hope that most of them get picked up by persons who already have the game/don't check and so an auto +1 is given.

Who cares about - as long if there is enough +.

As it seams there is definetivly no IP protection*, and as long as you don't need lets say a Steam account Lvl 5 (basically you need none at the moment) it doesn't matter if you find someone with more accounts. They will just come back smarter, nothing stops you from having 70+ accounts. Like rakhacu or miklenov. -> see 3 posts above.

*honestly they can't do it, I live in a dorm and know at least 4 others who use this site.

So, when people (or BOTS) are banned, are they not notified in ANY WAY that they got in that predicament because of breaking the rules for the Giveaway system?

There's currently a new post in the forums where someone with Lvl 0/+18/-4 is absolutely mystified that they are not able to access the Giveaways, and I have no reason to believe anything other than that IG is going to restore access for this person.

-4 is nothing. I've seen people with more than -12 still going strong. It seems as long as your are pumping out giveaways, they will keep reinstating you as long as you are above a certain percentage of +ve to -ve ratio. There is no notification apart from the fact you cannot or enter giveaways is all. With the way the system works, after 2-3 days you get positive feedback even if the key is fake. To try and contact someone on steam and sort it out with a new key in three days is almost impossible so people just wait and hold out until the feedback is automatically positive and they they can just blacklist or ignore you. The system IG currently have is so open to abuse. Its the reason why i only do guaranteed giveaways/auctions now so i dont have to deal with this crap. IF there was no longer this, i would have given up on IG a long time ago. Steamgifts does this but in such a better way that i cant see why people would want to stay long-term on IG apart from dumping the free keys they get.

there are a lot of Glitches in the system But the problem is no one notifies Support. Support looks at your trust percentage and if you contact them when there is a problem. In other words if you get banned (and no they don't notify you) if you contqact support with an "I didn't know that" they usually willl give you another chance. I mean I have been threatened with Negatives and I only do guaranteed giveaways myself. So if You end up with a bad key from me it isn't my fault but it is still possible. Also i was gone for awhile (moved no internet) and a lot of people took advantage of this. I persoannly keep hoping they wipe everyones and redo the system But realistically they might actually check something if I request it But if enough people email them they might look into changing it.

what's even weirdier is i do believe those were all working keys for that same layer of fear game (mostly likely taken by now but who knows)

mseals, your idea that the entire system should be wiped and everyone reset to zero is insane. If IndieGala did that, I would never spend another dime here and I'm sure a fair number of other folks would do the same. I'm also sure that it would get blasted across Reddit to the point they'd have to close doors. They're already considered shady by a good number of folks on Reddit. I barely manage to get a response out of support if I send them an email for payment or site access issues (the last time was I think a FIVE DAY DELAY), and for questions about site "features", i've never gotten a response back. I don't know what your position is with them, but someone with a voice needs to alert them to the fact that they need to get their crap together.

maybe force steam account link and require it has to be a non-0 level account and public profile (to check games/DLC/software on that account or something)?

If I thought it would do any good, I would post pages of ideas that would dramatically improve the giveaways feature of this site. First and foremost, nerfing past exp for games that had been given away for free on steam or another large giveaway site we all know. All one has to do is search reddit for free games and you'd get a nice long list of games that should have been worth nearly nothing (still something) and at what date giveaways should have been nerfed.
The fact that some individuals gave away dozens of free copies of war hammer and fortified (plus others I'm sure) for 1k+ exp is messed up! And just because those games stopped being available for free doesn't change what said developer/publisher thinks the value of the game is.
I can only hope some day Indiegala thinks the giveaway section needs improvement and decides it's worth fixing. Until then I continue to hold back giveaways (since feb 2018).
