I mean, horror is just a story genre. If we're talking about gameplay, Suffering is 3rd person action game (melee and guns). The story is interesting enough or else I wouldn't play it because a good story is one of the most important things to me in any game.Thats the one genre we are completely different about, I like vampires, cults, all that interesting stuff for the usual background story and lore that comes with it...and franky VtM just looks fun, idk how I overlooked it for so long considering it was popular enough for even me to know about it before the lair...althoigh in truth I always though it was Vim since I never had any interest.
Horror games in general, not my thing anymore.
Funny you'd bring that up nowGehenna
Yeah, I know about Dragonlance. I like fantasy settings but there are only a handful of RPGs set in modern days.Funny you'd bring that up now

I completely understand too...you've likely stumbled across a book series called Dragonlance, I had the same love for that, its one of the only series i've read every book I was able to find in...and the only one that I stole books to read lol. Unfortunately it never truly made it in the gaming world...I think there was one old game based on it and a few whose lore may be involved, but nothing remotely close to what I would want to actually see them do or I would have picked it up almost immediately, I feel the same way about the Han Dynasty era in japan and Destiny of an emperor, grabbing every game claiming to be anything like them and being sadly disappointed in each and every one heh. I guess I had a poor choice in history and fantasy I was hoping to seeironocally the Han Dynasty love came from a game...one that just never got the attention it should have and died out.
Ya, JRPG on screen and talking about a Nintendo game obsessionChina
No doubt there, this is actually one of them...although the world isnt our world.Yeah, I know about Dragonlance. I like fantasy settings but there are only a handful of RPGs set in modern dadays.
There haven't been any recent Dragonlance games as far as I know, but a long while back there were multiple games from SSI based on it. There was a trilogy of "Gold Box" turn-based RPGs: Champions of Krynn, Death Knights of Krynn, and Dark Queen of Krynn, and an isometric RPG called Shadow Sorcerer. There were a couple of action games (Heroes of the Lance, Dragons of Flame), a strategy game called War of the Lance, and even a dragonflight simulator called DragonStrike.Funny you'd bring that up now

also on steamAs it turns out they're available on GOG: Dungeons and Dragons: Krynn Series , Silver Box Classics , DragonStrike
probably WB (again), they bought the Midway trademark and many assets in 2009
And then they bitch and moan about piracy....I have both on GOG. I hope they won't just vanish in thin air.
There all available on Steam too, HL right now at that...unfortunately bad timing for me cash wise so they'll have to wait for another time. Those were the older ones I was talking about, I didnt know they hit modern launchers though...thanks for the heads up.There haven't been any recent Dragonlance games as far as I know, but a long while back there were multiple games from SSI based on it.
