ya, didn't think of that part...sorrynot yet, it's hard to do some jrpg when you have those blackouts every now and then((...

NOPE!!! Negative!!! You traitor!!!No, unfortunately I haven't finished it, but hear me out!
...oh alright.
Setzer and be warned - really massive half game spoiler incoming...bunch of tips, but major story breakers included.I was playing it for a month or so, and than there was that moment when the skyship was going to fall, you know what I mean...
So...I've finished that part of the game while one of my characters saved us all by the means of his own life (don't remember the name already, but he was the captain of that game's party's skyship and also was a womanizer and gambler).
On a death note, when you reach the floating continent, refuse to jjump at the end till the clock hits 3 seconds and Shadow will also live...only other character that can die is Mog and you literally have to Sacrifice him to the Gods of the Gold Hairpin (you'll understand later
)
Setzer (the gambler) lives, and he's one of (if not the) best character end game, because of a weapon called "Fixed Dice" which rolls straight 9999 almost constantly.
Add a Genji Glove (dual weild), Offering (attack 4 times), a Gradeus or preferably Ultima (Atma?) Weapon (stolen from guess who...Ultima Weapon on the floating continent
) as his second weapon
Using the ONLY speed+1 Esper in the game (Raiden or Odin, I forget) till he's level 99, maybe with some str+3 mixed in (or stamina/HP for Ultima Weapon) before exchanging the Esper for another, same with Locke to Steal these things lmao.
You can also make Gau, Shadow, Mog, or any sword weilder (with more effort, Terra, Celes, Edgar, Locke) Invincible on the original version with a Paladin shield gained by fighting 255 battles wearing the Cursed Shield (using a ribbon if your sane lol), a must do task regardless. A force sheild works as well.
Heres a quick guide, although my setup was different this has more options that may help in newer versions that fix the glitch.
NOTE:
You can get your first Genji Glove by refusing Banons request 3 times before accepting in the returners hideout...also if you leave the first cave Locke goes through (to reach Figaro) full of treasure in the part where your party splits after the airship crash--the cave will have MUCH better treasure after the halfway point in the game.
Taken from gamefaqs (I didn't remember the location because I clear everything) every time.
"Offering. When equipped, it allows your character to attack 4x. It's indeed found in the Ancient Castle after beating the Katana Soul from the monster-in-a-box"
Phew, well theres 30yrs of FF 6 tips in a really long spoiler block.

You still suck, no excuse not to finish FF6
FFS, he can't die bro and your can't avoid it (there are still many more spoilers above)After that I've mourned some time and then played a little more, but few days later it became known to me...THAT I COULD HAVE SAVED HIM FROM THAT SHIP!! FFS!! I haven't knew!!((
Your problem with death is a serious game-fuck (mind-fuck too), its a fucking game dude!!!
Your story (and your mourning), were an utter waste, you dropped the game over a story plot and it was a deception
