It’s unlikely to be a standard procedure, possibly only for some suspicious activities. I can’t recall if I’ve received similar account verification emails from IndieGala before.

I got it for the first time myself except maybe during account creation...they're likely verifying users who care to try to login and it was never intended to do anything else

But VPNs have a limited range of IPs as well...its not impossible to just block VPNs in general. It is imppssible to block a single user.

I doubt they can do it either...they just need a mod thats actually around for the forums...maybe they can protect the store better, but I never knew of many issues there anyways...keys still cost money, doesn't matter which account is buying.

Honestly the reason we likely never lost the forums is because they don't care at all and its not the reason for this
