Yep... closed again. Is it closed already? It's not open for me atm.
I was able to try one run - it ended with an error obviously - and now it's closed again. It's Back
It was like that in 2020 , it was even shorter than couple hours , it was 30 to 60 min. max .Wasn't there a period of time in which the challenge was open only for a couple hours everyday? Maybe it returned to that
I personally would rather see GG games re-gifted in the giveaways than most of the cheap shovelware and DLC crap that comes here from other giveaway sites. I've won many games in GG, but have also won many I didn't get through the giveaways, as well as re-gifting many of the GG keys for games I already owned.About the draws, I think a "solution" would be to add some kind of filter based on the stock of keys they have, so when someone creates a draw with a key taken from the challenges, the system detects it and blocks the draw or in fact allows it but without earning any points.
I think that way they would stop abusing the draw system and level up easily.
It is understood, so another option is to allow them to do so, but they do not add points and level up easily.I personally would rather see GG games re-gifted in the giveaways than most of the cheap shovelware and DLC crap that comes here from other giveaway sites. How does that do anything helpful? It is understood, so another option is to allow them to do so, but they do not add points and level up easily.
Since many probably use bots to get many GG keys and circumvent them all from a single account.
In that case it is the winner's decision, he/she would have to report it.How does that do anything helpful?
How does that stop a fake account doing a 59.99$ giveaway?
Or a 499.99$ fake giveaway like this one: https://www.indiegala.com/giveaways/card/cur3d-steam-edition-permission-for-commercial-use/842480
If the keys are from gameplay giveaway, then there's a decent chance it's a valid key. Unless it's something like sacred gold or chaos engine.
So why shouldn't people get points from giving away a valid key on steam?
All the real giveaways are from 2 sources: either gameplay giveaway or some rare generous users giving away extra keys from some bundle.
So if you remove getting points from gameplay giveaway keys, then there's barely any real giveaway left for people to join.
I have done 300+ giveaways from gameplay giveaway and I am still at lv6.
I have seen an user with lv3, almost lv4 from doing 1 expensive fake giveaway and they got lucky with feedback.
The main issue with giveaway section is that nothing happens to reported giveaway.
I'm also for the option to re-gift games from the gameplay giveaway. A couple of times I won a game that I already own or DLC for a game I don't own, so by re-gifting it at least somebody else gets to enjoy it.I personally would rather see GG games re-gifted in the giveaways than most of the cheap shovelware and DLC crap that comes here from other giveaway sites. You can join GAMERS LAIR for that , its basically members of this site gifting each other games from challenges that they already have .I'm also for the option to re-gift games from the gameplay giveaway. That would also be an option. I am not yet familiar with all the groups here. You can join GAMERS LAIR for that , its basically members of this site gifting each other games from challenges that they already have .
