Since I see new players complaining about difficulty, here's some advice:
-Go play the main game. You don't have to waste GalaSilver trying to get a grip on game's controls and mechanics. Most situations won't be exactly the same as in challenges (you won't see that many rocks in one place for example, beans don't grow that fast, and I think thorny black saplings are not in the main game currently), but getting the hang of quickly chopping trees, breaking rocks, etc is all possible. You can even make a replica of the bean-growing challenge, which won't grow as fast, but will definitely allow you to train proper movement. Also while setting up the field you can learn how the target square behaves, so you can use hoe quickly and precisely.
-Read the rest of this topic, there are loads of good advice on best strategies for every challenge. (It would've taken me way longer to figure out that watering beans one by one is a dead end strategy without a hint from the topic).
-Take your time and have good look at the level before starting the challenge. While the message covers up the middle of the level, you can still get a fairly good idea of where the largest concentrations of things you need to go after are (small trees, brown rocks) and roughly plan your route in advance and not just during 3-second countdown.
EDIT

EDIT
Apparently some things changed while I was writing, so take that as a lesson - everything is subject to change at moment's noticetime is now slower than real time. makes these challenges very easy
